Turan Bayramov
Turan Bayramov (; born 11 January 2001) is an Azerbaijani freestyle wrestler who competes at 70 kilograms, and 74 kilograms. Bayramov claimed a silver medal from the 2021 European Championships (70kg), was the 2019 U23 World Champion and the 2018 Cadet World and Youth Olympic Champion, as well as a medalist at multiple high level age-group competitions. Wrestling career Age-group level As a cadet, Bayramov placed third and second at the 2017 European and World Championships respectively. The following year, he was able to claim both championships and also became the Youth Olympic Champion. As a junior, he went on to win the European Championship but placed third at the World Championships in 2019. 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games
The 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games () were the 5th edition of the event held from 9 to 18 August 2022 at Konya, Turkey under the aegis of Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSF). It was the first time in history that the event was organised by the Turkish Olympic Committee. Formerly scheduled to take place from 20 to 29 August 2021, the event was postponed to be held from 10 to 19 September 2021 in July 2020 by the ISSF because the original dates were coinciding with the 2020 Summer Olympics, which were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In May 2021, the ISSF postponed the event to August 2022 citing the COVID-19 pandemic situation in the participating countries. The World Military Championships (WMC) are the world championships of the military sports, regularly organized by the Conseil International du Sport Militaire (CISM), covering 25 sports. History CISM had its roots in World War II, with efforts to bring together members of the allied forces to bridge cultural and language barriers. The Matteo Pellicone Ranking Series 2022 was a wrestling event held in Ostia, Rome, Italy between 22 and 25 of June 2022. The third United World Wrestling Ranking Series event of the year, it featured multiple World and Olympic Champions, Pan-American Champions, European Champions, Asian Champions and NCAA Champions. The United World Wrestling postponed the Matteo Pellicone. Despite the efforts of the Italian Wrestling Federation to host Rome's Matteo Pellicone on the previously scheduled dates of February 4–7, the latest restrictions due to the Omicron variant proved to be a roadblock in hosting the event. The tournament will now be held June 22–25 in Rome, Italy preceding the 2022 European Juniors Wrestling Championships, which begin June 27 at the Pala Pellicone. The 2023 Kaba Uulu Kozhomkul & Raatbek Sanatbaev Tournament, is a wrestling event held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan between 1 and 4 June 2023. It will held as the third of the ranking series of United World Wrestling in 2023. With an aim to reward wrestlers participating in Ranking Series tournaments, the United World Wrestling will award prize money to the medal winners in all weight classes with a total prize money of 390,000 Swiss Francs. Nikola Petrov (), better known as Nikola Petroff, (19 December 1873 – 2 January 1925) was a Bulgarian wrestler. He was born in the town of Gorna Oryahovitsa, Bulgaria. On 20 July 1898, in New York City, he earned the title "Champion of America". In the next year in Vienna, he became the European Champion in Greco-Roman wrestling. In 1900, during the Exposition Universelle in Paris, he defeated the Frenchman Paul Pons and became a world champion. He fought in the First Balkan War. Doncho Kolev Danev () (26 December 1892 – 27 March 1940), better known by the ring name Dan Kolov (), was a Bulgarian professional wrestler born in Sennik, Bulgaria who was the first European freestyle wrestling champion from Bulgaria. He also won the European gold in 1936 in the championship in Paris, which was the second distinction for Bulgaria after the world title of Nikola Petrov (Greco-Roman wrestling) from 1900. He was inducted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Hall of Fame in 2020. Early years Doncho Kolev Danev was born on 27 December 1892 in the village of Sennik, Sevlievo municipality.
