Reception The compilation received universal critical acclaim, garnering a Metacritic score of 96 based on 10 reviews. The album's non-chronological track sequencing has been singled out by many publications for praise. Burial (musician)
William Emmanuel Bevan, known by his recording alias Burial, is a British electronic musician from South London. Initially remaining anonymous, Burial became the first artist signed to Kode9's electronic label Hyperdub in 2005. He won acclaim the following year for his Burial (Burial album), self-titled debut album, an influential release in the UK's dubstep scene which showcased a dark, emotive take on UK rave music styles such as UK garage and 2-step garage, 2-step; it was named the album of the year by ''The Wire (magazine), The Wire''. ''Subtemple / Beachfires'' is the ninth extended play of English electronic musician William Emmanuel Bevan, known by his stage name as Burial. It was released on 19 May 2017 by the label Hyperdub. It is an ambient record that only includes the quiet synthesizers and ghostly vocal samples of Burial's sound and does not include any percussion. Responses from professional music journalists were generally mixed to positive. Composition ''Subtemple / Beachfires'' is devoid of percussion and only depicts the atmospheric parts of Burial's signature sound, such as quiet synthesizers and haunting vocal samples. Banksy
Banksy is a pseudonymous England-based street artist, political activist, and film director whose real name and identity remain unconfirmed and the subject of speculation.
