Tumxuk
TumxukThe official spelling according to , (Beijing, ''SinoMaps Press'' 1997); is a county-level city in the western part of Xinjiang, China. The eastern part of Tumxuk is surrounded by Maralbexi County, Kashgar Prefecture. The smaller western part is near Kashgar. Tumxuk is the headquarter of the 3rd Division of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps and currently administered by the 3rd Division. The city implemented the "division and city integration" ( 师市合一, ''shī shì héyī'') management system, it shares the same leader group with the 3rd Division. History In 1997, Tumxuk City was established. Geography It covers an area of and is located southwest of Ürümqi. Tumushuke Tangwangcheng Airport
Tumushuke(Tumxuk) Tangwangcheng Airport is an airport serving the city of Tumxuk (Tumushuke) in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of northwestern China. It is located from the city center, and also serves the nearby counties of Maralbexi and Kalpin. History The airport received approval from the State Council of China and the Central Military Commission in January 2014. Construction officially began on 12 March 2016, with a total investment of 631 million yuan, and the airport was opened on 26 December 2018 with an inaugural China Southern Airlines flight from Ürümqi. Xinjiang Production And Construction Corps
The Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps (新疆生产建设兵团; abbreviated as 新疆兵团, or XPCC in English), also known as ''Bingtuan'', trading with the external name China Xinjian Group, is a state-owned enterprise and paramilitary organization in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China (PRC). The XPCC was established in 1954 under the orders of Mao Zedong, and developed sparsely populated areas in its early decades, taking the model of the traditional '' tuntian'' system of setting military units in frontier areas. The XPCC was severely damaged during the Cultural Revolution, and was outright abolished in 1975, before being re-established in 1981, partly due to the Soviet-Afghan War. Maralbexi County
Maralbexi County (Maralbeshi, Maralbishi, transliterated from ; zh, c=玛热勒巴什县), Bachu County ( zh, c=巴楚县), and zh, c=巴尔楚克县) the former long Chinese name as well, is located in the southwest of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, China. The county is under the administration of the Kashgar Prefecture. It has an area of , and surrounds, but does not administer, the sub-prefecture-level city of Tumxuk.
