Tulloch (horse)
Tulloch (foaled in New Zealand in 1954 and died in 1969) was a champion Australian Thoroughbred racehorse who was one of the greatest Australian stayers. He won at distances from 5 furlongs (1,000 metres) to 2 miles (3,200 m), established Australian records at 10 furlongs (1960 Cox Plate) and 12 furlongs (1957 Caulfield Cup), and took 2 seconds off Phar Lap's 28-year-old record for the AJC Derby. As a three-year-old Tulloch won 14 of his 16 starts before he was struck down by a virus which kept him off the racing scene for almost two years. He returned to racing as an autumn five-year-old and won 15 of his last 24 races. Tulloch was one of the five inaugural horse inductees into the Australian Racing Hall of Fame, alongside Carbine, Phar Lap, Bernborough and Kingston Town. Elizabeth Tulloch, also known as Bitsie Tulloch, is an American actress. She is known for her roles as Juliette Silverton / Eve in the NBC television series '' Grimm'', and as Lois Lane in the 2021-24 DC Comics superhero drama television series '' Superman & Lois'', for which she has been nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Actress on Television twice. Early life Tulloch was born in San Diego, California, and grew up in Spain, Uruguay, and Argentina, as well as New York. Tulloch goes by "Bitsie", which is not a contraction of her given name, Elizabeth, but an homage to her oddly nicknamed grandfather, a World War II bomber pilot, who was also involved in the 1961 Goldsboro B-52 crash. Tulloch Castle
Tulloch Castle is located in the town of Dingwall in the Scottish Highlands, Highlands of Scotland. It dates at least to the late 14th century as the birthplace of Mariota Leslie, daughter of Euphemia I, countess of Ross. Mariota was the wife of Donald Macdonald, Lord of the Isles. Several of Euphemia's children by Walter Leslie were born at Tulloch Castle. Over the years, the castle has served as a family home for members of the Bain of Tulloch family, Clan Davidson, and Vickers family. The castle was used as a hospital after the evacuation of Dunkirk, and then as a hostel for the local education authority. It is currently used as a hotel and conference centre. Stephen Michael Tulloch (born January 1, 1985) is an American former professional American football, football linebacker. He was selected by the Tennessee Titans in the fourth round of the 2006 NFL draft. He played college football at NC State Wolfpack football, North Carolina State. He was also a member of the Detroit Lions and Philadelphia Eagles. John Tulloch
John Tulloch (1 June 1823 – 13 February 1886) was a Scottish theologian and Presbyterian minister. Life Tulloch was born at Dron, south of Bridge of Earn, Perthshire, one of twin sons of Elizabeth (née Maclaren), the daughter of a Perthshire farmer, and William Weir Tulloch, parish minister of Tibbermore, near Perth. He was educated at Perth Grammar School and studied Divinity at the universities of St Andrews and Edinburgh. He was licensed to preach by the Presbytery of Perth in March 1844. In March 1845 (following a period as assistant) he was ordained as minister of St Paul's church in Dundee, and in 1849 was translated to Kettins, in Strathmore, where he remained for six years. Tulloch Limited was an Australian engineering and railway rolling stock manufacturer, located at Rhodes, New South Wales. History In 1885, Robert Tulloch founded Phoenix Iron Works in Pyrmont, New South Wales, Pyrmont. In 1913 the business was incorporated as Tulloch's Phoenix Iron Works and relocated to Rhodes, New South Wales, Rhodes. Francis Tulloch
Francis Anthony Tulloch (5 August 1940 – 23 June 2022) was a Jamaican politician, lawyer and diplomat who served as Minister of Tourism from 1997 to 1999. Early life and education Tulloch was born to father Samuel Vincent Tulloch and mother Rhea Henriques-Tulloch in Kingston, Jamaica on 5 August 1940. He was educated at St. George's College. Tulloch Railway Station
Tulloch railway station is a rural railway station in the remote Tulloch area of the Highland region of Scotland. This station is on the West Highland Line, between Corrour and Roy Bridge, sited from Craigendoran Junction, near Helensburgh. History When the railway opened on 7 August 1894 the station was named Inverlair, after the nearby Inverlair Lodge. It was renamed Tulloch on 1 January 1895. The station was laid out with two platforms, one on either side of a crossing loop. There are sidings on the north side of the station. The station buildings are now used as a hostel. Major General Sir Alexander Bruce Tulloch, (2 September 1838 – 26 May 1920) was a British Army officer who served as military commandant for the Colony of Victoria, a war correspondent and an author. Military career Tulloch was born in Edinburgh, the son of Lieutenant-Colonel Tulloch. Jonathan Tulloch
Jonathan Tulloch is a British author, naturalist, and former teacher who writes regular nature features for The Times and The Tablet. His 2000 novel ''The Season Ticket'' was adapted into the film ''Purely Belter'' and serialised on BBC Radio 4.
