Garner Handy Tullis (born 1939) was an American born artist residing in Pietrarubbia, Italy, since the September 11 attacks in 2001. Biography Garner Tullis was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of the industrialist and civic leader Richard Barclay Tullis (1913–1999) and his wife, the painter Chaillé Handy, daughter of Henry Jamison Handy. Both endowed the ''Chaillé H. and Richard B. Tullis Principal Viola Chair'' of the Cleveland Orchestra, currently occupied by Robert Vernon. Bobby Tullis
Robert Wayne Tullis (born 1950/51) is an American politician of the Libertarian Party. He is a former mayor of Mineral Springs, Arkansas, serving from 2015 to 2019, and a former member of the Arkansas House of Representatives, serving from 1979 until 1993. Biography Tullis was born to Denzil Tullis and Nina Whitmore Tullis. He served in the House from 1979 until 1993 as a Democrat, representing the 86th district, which comprised parts of Howard and Sevier counties. In 1994, Tullis mounted a campaign for Arkansas State Auditor, losing narrowly in the Democratic primary to Gus Wingfield. In 2010, he was the Green Party nominee for Arkansas State Treasurer, losing to Democratic incumbent Martha Shoffner. The same year, Tullis ran for mayor of Mineral Springs. While he finished in first place with 46% of the vote, since he did not attain a majority a runoff election was necessary, which he lost. Julie Tullis
Julie Tullis (née Palau) (15 March 1939 – 6/7 August 1986) was a British climber and filmmaker who died while descending from K2's summit during a storm, along with four other climbers from several expeditions, during the "Black Summer" of 1986. Early life Julie was born to Erica and Francis Palau. Her early life was disrupted by the outbreak of World War II. In 1956, she began climbing near Tunbridge Wells, where she met Terry Tullis. In 1959, they were married and spent the following years running various small businesses. They also continued climbing, in addition to which Julie studied traditional Japanese martial arts, under David Passmore in the Budokan school, Tunbridge Wells. She occasionally practised karate forms in traditional hakama when climbing. Edward Lewis Tullis
Edward Lewis Tullis (March 9, 1917 – October 6, 2005) was an American bishop of the United Methodist Church, and an advocate for women clergy. Elected as a bishop in 1972, he presided over the Columbia, South Carolina episcopal area and then the Nashville, Tennessee episcopal area until his retirement in 1984. He also served on the Board of Managers, the General Board of Missions, the Board of Managers of the Board of Discipleship, and the General Council on Finance and Administration. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Tullis was a 1939 graduate of Kentucky Wesleyan College and was ordained in the Methodist Episcopal Church, South in 1939. Before his election to the episcopacy in 1972, Tullis served 35 years as a pastor in Methodist churches in Kentucky, during which time he was also a Chaplain in the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Tullis Onstott (January 12, 1955 – October 19, 2021) was a professor of geosciences at Princeton University who has done research into endolithic life deep under the Earth's surface. In 2011 he co-discovered ''Halicephalobus mephisto'', a nematode worm living under the ground, the deepest multicellular organism known to science.
