Tugboat Taylor
Dickie Dean Taylor (December 9, 1945 – November 8, 2017) was an American professional wrestler who was best known as Tugboat Taylor in the Global Wrestling Federation in Texas. Early career Taylor started in the Marine Corps in 1964 and fought in the Vietnam War. He was discharged in 1968 and moved back to Clinton, Iowa as a lab technician. He coached the Marine Corp and Navy Wrestling and Boxing Teams at Treasure lsland in San Francisco. In 1972, he was supposed to be in the Olympics as a power-lifter. Professional wrestling career In 1979, he was trained by Johnny Valentine and made his debut that year. He worked for Mid-South Wrestling for a few years in the early 1980s, Central States Wrestling and Texas All-Star Wrestling. In the late 1980s, he worked for World Class Championship Wrestling and Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling which later became World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in November 1988. Maquoketa, Iowa
Maquoketa () is a city in Jackson County, Iowa, United States. Located on the Maquoketa River, it is the county seat of Jackson County. U.S. Route 61 adjoins the city, which therefore hosts traffic between Dubuque and the Quad Cities. Iowa Highways 62 and 64 also pass through the city. Maquoketa Caves State Park is located a few miles northwest of Maquoketa. The population was 6,128 at the time of the 2020 census. History John E. Goodenow, the inaugural settler in the region, arrived in what is now recognized as Maquoketa in 1838. He established his residence on the present-day southeast corner of Main and Platt streets, erecting a cabin in that vicinity. Rod Price
Roderick Michael Price (22 November 1947 – 22 March 2005) was an English guitarist best known for his work with the rock band Foghat. He was known as 'The Magician of Slide', 'The Bottle', and 'Slide King of Rock and Roll', due to his proficiency on slide guitar. Career Price joined British blues band Black Cat Bones at the age of 21, replacing guitarist Paul Kossoff. They recorded one album, '' Barbed Wire Sandwich'', which was released in early 1970, when British blues was being supplanted by rock. The album was a critical success but a commercial failure. Black Cat Bones disbanded, and Price joined Foghat when it formed in London in 1971. He played on the band's first ten albums, released from 1972 through to 1980.
