Tsunami Games (or Tsunami Media, Inc.) was an American video game developer and video game publisher, publisher founded in 1991 by former employees of Sierra Entertainment (then known as Sierra On-Line).The company was based in Oakhurst, California, which at the time was also the home of Sierra. Between 1992 and 1996 Tsunami published several games, most notably adventure games and interactive movies, before becoming defunct. A video game developer is a software developer specializing in video game development – the process and related disciplines of creating video games. A game developer can range from one person who undertakes all tasks to a large business with employee responsibilities split between individual disciplines, such as programmers, designers, artists, etc. Most game development companies have video game publisher financial and usually marketing support.
