is a freeware app for social networking, made and operated by an independent developer. The application, intended as a joke, forbids users from posting any script other than kanji. As real Japanese writing uses a mixture of kanjiChinese logograms adapted for written Japanese and the native Japanese syllabic scripts of ''hiragana'' and ''katakana'', this forces users to communicate in pseudo-Chinese. History The application was launched on 10 December 2024 as a joke application, initially planned to shut down one month later. The application experienced heavy traffic after its release which resulted in a massive increase in server costs, forcing the developer to temporarily suspend all services on 14 December, lasting until 18 December. Emojli
Emojli is a discontinued social application for iOS and Android, created by YouTuber and web developer Tom Scott, and YouTuber and broadcast engineer Matt Gray. When it was active, its usernames could contain only emoji and users could only communicate using emoji within the app. History Tom Scott and Matt Gray were inspired to create the app after seeing the success of Yo and the release of new emoji characters by the Unicode Consortium. During a talk at Electromagnetic Field Festival, the developers commented that the app originated largely as a joke, but that by the time of launch 70,000 unique usernames had been reserved. The app was launched on 29 August 2014. After press coverage the developers began receiving offers for venture capital. 4 (four) is a number, numeral and digit. It is the natural number following 3 and preceding 5. It is a square number, the smallest semiprime and composite number, and is considered unlucky in many East Asian cultures. Evolution of the Hindu-Arabic digit Brahmic numerals represented 1, 2, and 3 with as many lines. 4 was simplified by joining its four lines into a cross that looks like the modern plus sign. The Shunga would add a horizontal line on top of the digit, and the Kshatrapa and Pallava evolved the digit to a point where the speed of writing was a secondary concern.
