Dothideomycetes Genera
Dothideomycetes is the largest and most diverse class (biology), class of ascomycete fungus, fungi. It comprises 11 order (biology), orders 90 family (biology), families, 1,300 genera and over 19,000 known species. Wijayawardene et al. in 2020 added more orders to the class. Traditionally, most of its members were included in the loculoascomycetes, which is not part of the currently accepted classification. This indicates that several traditional morphological features in the class are not unique and DNA sequence comparisons are important to define the class. The designation loculoascomycetes was first proposed for all fungi which have ascolocular development. This type of development refers to the way in which the ascoma, sexual structure, bearing the sexual spores (ascospores) forms. Dothideomycetes mostly produce flask-like structures referred to as ascoma, pseudothecia, although other shape variations do exist (e.g. see structures found in Hysteriales). During ascolocular de ...

MycoBank
MycoBank is an online database, documenting new mycological names and combinations, eventually combined with descriptions and illustrations. It is run by the Westerdijk Fungal Biodiversity Institute in Utrecht. Each novelty, after being screened by nomenclatural experts and found in accordance with the ICN (International Code of Nomenclature for algae, fungi, and plants), is allocated a unique MycoBank number before the new name has been validly published. This number then can be cited by the naming author in the publication where the new name is being introduced. Only then, this unique number becomes public in the database. By doing so, this system can help solve the problem of knowing which names have been validly published and in which year. MycoBank is linked to other important mycological databases such as Index Fungorum, Life Science Identifiers, Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) and other databases. MycoBank is one of three nomenclatural repositories reco ...

Trypethelium Luteolucidum
''Trypethelium luteolucidum'' is a species of lichen in the family Trypetheliaceae, first formally described in 2016. Found in Brazil and Mexico, it is similar to '' Trypethelium regnellii'', but differs by the presence of anthraquinone crystals in the . Taxonomy ''Trypethelium luteolucidum'' was formally described by the lichenologists André Aptroot, Cléverton de Oliveira Mendonça, and Marcela Eugenia da Silva Cáceres in 2016. The type specimen was collected in Porto Velho, Rondônia, Brazil, at an elevation of about , on the bark of ''Hevea brasiliensis'' in a plantation. Description The thallus of ''Trypethelium luteolucidum'' is , smooth to somewhat , somewhat shiny, continuous, covering areas up to 10 cm in diameter and approximately 0.2 mm thick. The thallus is ochraceous in colour, not surrounded by a , and does not induce gall formation on the host bark. Ascomata are spherical, measuring 0.4–0.7 mm in diameter, mostly aggregated in groups of 2–7, ...
