Trust Bank Limited (Gambia), commonly known as Trust Bank Ltd (TBL), but also referred to as Trust Bank (Gambia), is a private commercial bank in the Gambia. It is one of the fourteen commercial banks licensed by the Central Bank of the Gambia, the national banking regulator. History Trust Bank Limited was founded in 1997 by private investors, with the objective of offering banking services to local and International individuals and businesses in a timely, professional, courteous manner, in a profitable framework. Serrekunda
Serekunda (proper: Sayerr Kunda or Sere Kunda, ar, سيريكوندا, sometimes spelled Serrekunda) is the largest urban centre in The Gambia. It is situated close to the Atlantic coast, south-west of the capital, Banjul, and is formed of nine villages which have grown together into a larger urban area. History and toponymy Sayerr Jobe, the founder of Serekunda, was a 19th-century lamane originally from the Sine-Saloum region of Senegal. He migrated to the Gambia in the mid 19th Century and is believed to have initially settled around Jinack Island in Banjul, before relocating to the southern bank of the country (near Sukuta) where he established Serrekunda. Latri Kunda (spelling variation: Latrikunda, name variant: Latri Kunda Yiringan Ya or Latrikunda Yiri Nganya) is part of the Kanifing District, and a suburb of Sere Kunda (or Serekunda) in the Gambia. The district is located in the center of Serekunda. In the 1993 census, Latri Kunda was listed as a separate town with 22,902 inhabitants. History and toponymy Latri Kunda takes its name from Lat Kumba Lô (full name: Latir Kumba Lô) — a Serer noble and friend of one of Sayerr Jobe's sons (founder of Sere Kunda) who was persuaded to move to the Gambia from Senegal in return for a piece of land. Farafenni
Farafenni or Farafegni is a town in the Gambia, lying on the Trans-Gambia Highway in the North Bank Division, just south of the border with Senegal. It is an important market town. The population of Farafenni is around 25,000 and the main local language is Wolof, although Mandinka, Fula and other languages are also fairly common. Farafenni is the site of a recently built hospital and also contains a military base which was attacked in 1995 by six men later claiming to be Sanyang's collaborators. It is sometimes called Chakubanta or Faracity.
