''Truly, Madly, Deeply'' is a 1990 British fantasy drama film made for the BBC's ''Screen Two'' series, by BBC Films, Lionheart and Winston Pictures. The film, written and directed by Anthony Minghella, stars Juliet Stevenson and Alan Rickman. Plot Nina, an interpreter, is beside herself with grief at the recent death of her boyfriend, Jamie, a cellist. When she is on the verge of despair, Jamie reappears as a "ghost" and the couple are reunited. Nina is ecstatic. But Jamie tells her about his days while she is at work, and one dialogue suggests she should embrace the life around her; one of these is about a memorial plaque in a park about a dead child and how parents who read it feel an immediate, compelling need to hug their children. ''Truly Madly Deeply – Ultra Rare Tracks'' is a compilation album released by Australian pop duo Savage Garden on 14 April 1998, exclusively in Japan. Background As none of Savage Garden's first three singles were issued in Japan, Sony made the decision to instead release all of the remixes and B-sides included on the singles as a compilation album. Despite "Mine" being a B-side to "I Want You", it was not included on the compilation as it was made available as a bonus track on the Japanese version of the group's self-titled debut album. The album was later made widely available in the United Kingdom through HMV and Virgin, who sold copies of the album as imports in their UK stores. The song "All Around Me", although not released as a B-side, originally appeared on the Australian release of ''Savage Garden'', but was removed when the album was released internationally, and thus, is included here as it had never previously been released in Japan. It won the 1997 ARIA Music Award for both Single of the Year and Highest Selling Single, and was nominated for Song of the Year. Written by bandmates Darren Hayes and Daniel Jones, the song is a reworking of a song called "Magical Kisses" that the pair wrote together during the recording of their debut album. The Dualers are an eight-piece (or nine-piece) ska and reggae band from South East London. Initially comprising brothers Si and Tyber Cranstoun, and now led by Tyber following Si's departure in 2010 for a solo career, they first developed a profile when the single "Kiss on the Lips" entered the UK top 30, peaking at 21, in October 2004 despite no industry backing.
