Trude Lash, formerly Gertrude Pratt, née Wenzel (13 June 1908 – 4 February 2004) was a political activist, advocate for children, and close associate of Eleanor Roosevelt. She was born in June 1908 in Freiburg, Germany. She taught kindergarten while attending the University of Heidelberg and studying journalism. In 1930, she earned a PhD in Philosophy at the University of Freiburg. Thereafter, she emigrated to the United States and taught German literature and philosophy at Hunter College, and continued research at Columbia University. She joined the International Student Service (ISS), and returned to her homeland. In Germany, she worked for a newspaper at the time of the National Socialist German Workers Party, National Socialist accession to power, and was openly critical of the new ''régime''. Trude Brænne Larssen (born 1 January 1967 in Tønsberg) is a Norwegian novelist. She is the author of the series ''Holmegaard'' (11 books), "Ulveøyne" (25 books) and "Rimfrost" (14 books), and has contributed to the series "Emilies Tid". Her earlier books were published on the Egmont Publishing House, but most were published by Cappelen Damm Publishing House. She has released more than 70 books over two decades. Gertrude "Traute or Trude" Kleinová (born in Brno, Czechoslovakia; August 13, 1918 – April 9, 1976) was a three-time world champion table tennis player, winning the women's team world championship twice, and the world mixed doubles once. She and her first husband were deported by the Nazis to the Theresienstadt concentration camp and eventually sent to the Auschwitz concentration camp, where her husband was killed. Trude Herr (; 4 May 1927 – 16 March 1991) was a German film actress, singer and theatre owner.Weisser p. 289 She was an entertainer in Germany from the early 1960s until her retirement. Early life Trude Herr was born in the Cologne district of Kalk, grew up in the city's district of Mülheim and attended school there. Her father Robert Herr was a locomotive driver and was imprisoned for a long time because of his membership in the Communist Party; later he was sent to a concentration camp. Trude Harstad (born 17 July 1974) is a former Norwegian biathlete. Life and career Harstad was born in the municipality of Birkenes in the southern part of Norway. Harstad debuted at the Junior World Championships in 1993 in Ruhpolding. The first event was the team event, which was not a success, as the Norwegian team composed of Harstad, Gunn Margit Andreassen and Liv Grete Skjelbreid came 9th. She did not race in the 10 km individual, but came 15th in the 7.5 km sprint. She was not a part of the relay team, which won gold.
