Tru Faith
Tru Faith & Dub Conspiracy was a collaboration between two UK garage groups, Tru Faith (consisting of members George D, Maxim Elmalki & Nial Montgomery), and Dub Conspiracy (Andrew Hunter & Ian McKenzie). They are best known for their sole UK chart hit single, a cover of the Adina Howard song "Freak like Me", with British singer Imaani on vocals. Their version reached No. 12 on the UK Singles Chart in September 2000, and spent 5 weeks on the chart, as well as reaching number one on the UK Dance Singles Chart. Tru Faith & Dub Conspiracy initially released a remix of Adina Howard's "Freak like Me" titled "Freek Me" on About 2 Records, backed with a remix of Beenie Man and Chevelle Franklyn's "Dancehall Queen". UK Garage
UK garage, abbreviated as UKG, is a genre of electronic dance music which originated in England in the early to mid-1990s. The genre was most clearly inspired by garage house and jungle production methods, but also incorporates elements from dance-pop and R&B. It is defined by percussive, shuffled rhythms with syncopated hi-hats, cymbals, and snares, and may include either 4/4 house kick patterns or more irregular " 2-step" rhythms. Garage tracks also commonly feature 'chopped up' and time-stretched or pitch-shifted vocal samples complementing the underlying rhythmic structure at a tempo usually around 130 BPM. BM Dubs (born Andrew Kirby) is an English garage DJ and producer. Biography BM Dubs is best known for his 2001 hit version of "Whoomp! (There It Is)" which reached No. 32 on the UK Singles Chart and No. 4 on the UK Dance Singles Chart. It is based on the 2000 release "Whoops.... Tracey Elizabeth McSween, better known by her stage names Shèna and Shèna Winchester, (born 1977) is an English disco and house singer, known for featuring on Michael Gray's song " The Weekend".
