Troy Taylor (Australian Footballer)
Troy Taylor (b. 12 September 1991) is an Australian rules footballer who played for Richmond in the Australian Football League (AFL). Originally from Central Australian Football League (CAFL) club South Alice Springs, Taylor was a talented junior footballer who had piqued the interest of Gold Coast Suns Football Club, who sought to name Taylor in their training squad in the lead up to their debut in the 2011 AFL season. Taylor declines and instead nominated for the 2009 AFL Draft, where Richmond drafted him with their fourth round pick (number 51 overall). Taylor made his senior AFL debut against Melbourne in round 4 of the 2010 season but continually suffered homesickness, twice walking out on Richmond and their Victorian Football League (VFL) affiliate Coburg Football Club. Alice Springs
Alice Springs ( aer, Mparntwe) is the third-largest town in the Northern Territory of Australia. The Coburg Football Club, nicknamed the Coburg Lions, is an Australian rules football club based in Coburg, Victoria, Coburg, a northern suburb of Melbourne, and currently playing in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Coburg () is a town located on the Itz river in the Upper Franconia region of Bavaria, Germany. The Hume Australian Football Netball League (HFNL), often shortened to Hume Football League, is an Australian rules football and netball competition containing twelve clubs based in the South West Slopes and southern Riverina regions of New South Wales, Australia. The league features four grades in the Australian rules football competition, with these being First-Grade, Reserve-Grade, Under 17s and Under 14s. In the netball competition, there are six grades, with these being A-Grade, B-Grade, C-Grade, C-Reserve Grade, Intermediates and Juniors. Currently, a home and away season consisting of 18 rounds is played. The Victorian Football League (VFL) is an Australian rules football league in Australia serving as one of the second-tier regional semi-professional competitions which sit underneath the fully professional Australian Football League (AFL). It includes teams from clubs based in the eastern states of Australia: Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland, and includes reserves teams for the east coast AFL clubs.
