Troy Gray
Troy Gray (born 26 February 1973) is an Australian television producer, presenter and former Australian Football League (AFL) player. He played with the Sydney Swans and the St Kilda Football Club. Gray has created a number of global television formats and has won several awards for his TV work. Originally from Canberra, Gray played with the Swans for five league seasons. He kicked four goals against the Brisbane Bears at the SCG in just his third AFL game. His best season was in 1995 when he appeared in 19 of the 22 rounds, playing as a defender. Gray was traded to St Kilda after the season ended, in exchange for the 34th pick of the national draft, which was used on Shannon Corcoran. Queanbeyan Football Club
The Queanbeyan Tigers Australian Football Club, nicknamed the Tigers, is an Australian rules football club that competes in the AFL Canberra. The club is based in Queanbeyan, one of the oldest (proclaimed a town in 1838) and fastest growing municipalities (proclaimed a city in 1972) in New South Wales, that draws players, supporters and administrators from a region of 100,000 people covering the Division of Eden-Monaro. The Hawthorn Football Club, nicknamed the Hawks, is a professional Australian rules football club based in Mulgrave, Victoria, that competes in the Australian Football League (AFL). The club was founded in 1902 in the inner-east suburb of Hawthorn, Victoria, Hawthorn, making it the youngest Victorian-based team in the AFL. 1997 AFL Season
The 1997 AFL season was the 101st season of the Australian Football League (AFL), the highest level senior Australian rules football competition in Australia, which was known as the Victorian Football League until 1989. The season ran from 27 March until 27 September, and comprised a 22-game home-and-away season followed by a finals series featuring the top eight clubs. Before the season, the Port Adelaide Football Club (SANFL) was admitted to the league, increasing the South Australian membership to two clubs. Foundation club Fitzroy, which had gone into administration in 1996, merged with the Brisbane Bears to form a new Queensland-based team known as the Brisbane Lions. The Footscray Football Club changed its name to the Western Bulldogs. With these changes, the league's size remained at sixteen clubs. Shannon Corcoran (born 22 February 1971) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Footscray, the Brisbane Bears and Sydney in the Australian Football League (AFL) during the 1990s. He attended Westbourne Grammar School during his schooling years. Picked with the 49th selection of the 1988 VFL draft The 1988 VFL draft, held on 9 November 1988, was the third annual national draft held by the Victorian Football League (now known as the Australian Football League).
