Troy Gamble
Troy Duncan Gamble (born April 7, 1967) is a Canadian former ice hockey goaltender. He played 72 games for the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League (NHL) from 1987 until 1992, as well as several teams in the minor league American Hockey League and International Hockey League until 1996. He was selected by the Canucks in the 1985 NHL Entry Draft while playing junior for the Medicine Hat Tigers of the Western Hockey League. Career After winning the WHL Top Goaltender Award in the Western Hockey League for 1984-85 and being named a WHL All-Star First Team after leading the WHL in shutouts and GAA (2.86) while playing for the Medicine Hat Tigers, Gamble was drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in the second round, 25th overall, in the 1985 draft. Goaltender
In ice hockey, the goaltender (commonly referred to as the goalie) is the player responsible for preventing the hockey puck from entering their team's net, thus preventing the opposing team from scoring. The goaltender mostly plays in or near the area in front of the net called the '' goal crease'' (often referred to simply as '' the crease''). Goaltenders tend to stay at or beyond the top of the crease to cut down on the angle of shots. Jack McIlhargey
John Cecil McIlhargey (March 7, 1952July 19, 2020) was a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman who played eight seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL). He played for the Philadelphia Flyers, Vancouver Canucks, and Hartford Whalers from 1974 until 1982. He featured in two Stanley Cup Finals with the Flyers (1976, 1980). After his playing career, he worked for both the Canucks and Flyers in coaching roles, and also served as a scout for the Canucks for one season. Playing career McIlhargey was born on March 7, 1952, in Edmonton, Alberta. He played only one season in major junior hockey, splitting the season between the Victoria Cougars and the Flin Flon Bombers of the Western Canadian Hockey League. Color Commentary
A color commentator or expert commentator is a sports commentator who assists the main (play-by-play) commentator, typically by filling in when play is not in progress. The Houston Aeros were a professional ice hockey team in the International Hockey League (IHL) and the American Hockey League (AHL). Post-concussion Syndrome
Post-concussion syndrome (PCS) is a set of symptoms that may continue for weeks, months, or a year or more after a concussion – medically classified as a so-called mild traumatic brain injury (TBI). About 34 to 35% of people with concussion experience persistent or prolonged symptoms 3 to 6 months after injury. Prolonged concussion is defined as having concussion symptoms for over four weeks following the first accident in youth and for weeks or months in adults. A diagnosis may be made when symptoms resulting from concussion last for more than three months after the injury. Loss of consciousness is not required for a diagnosis of concussion or post-concussion syndrome. The Los Angeles Kings are a professional ice hockey team based in Los Angeles. The NHL's Smythe Division was formed in 1974 as part of the Clarence Campbell Conference. The division existed for 19 seasons until 1993. Kirk McLean
Kirk Alan McLean (born June 26, 1966) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the New Jersey Devils, Vancouver Canucks, Carolina Hurricanes, Florida Panthers and New York Rangers. He played in the style of a stand-up goaltender. McLean played major junior hockey with the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) and was drafted in the sixth round, 107th overall by the Devils in 1984. The 1990–91 NHL season was the 74th season of the National Hockey League. The Stanley Cup winners were the Pittsburgh Penguins, who won the best of seven series 4–2 against the Minnesota North Stars.
