Troy Dumas
Troy T. Dumas (born September 30, 1972) is a former American football linebacker and former assistant coach. He played college football at Nebraska. He was drafted in the third round (97th overall) by the Kansas City Chiefs. He also played for the St. Louis Rams of the National Football League (NFL) as well as the Las Vegas Outlaws of the XFL. College career Dumas attended the University of Nebraska where he was a member of four consecutive Big Eight Conference championship teams. Four teams that also competed in the FedEx Orange Bowl (1991-1994). He played defensive back for his first three seasons before converting to linebacker as senior in 1994. Following his senior season, he was a First-team All-Conference selection and was a semi-finalist for the Butkus Award. 1995 Orange Bowl
The 1995 Orange Bowl was a college football bowl game played on January 1, 1995, as the 61st edition of the Orange Bowl and the national championship game for the 1994 season. It featured the Nebraska Cornhuskers of the Big Eight and the Miami Hurricanes of the Big East. The game was a rematch of the historic 1984 Orange Bowl. As of 2020, the 1995 Orange Bowl holds the record for Orange Bowl attendance at 81,753. The 1992 Orange Bowl was the 58th edition of the college football bowl game, played at the Orange Bowl in Miami, Florida, on January 1. Part of the 1991–92 bowl game season, it matched the top-ranked Miami Hurricanes of the Big East Conference and the #11 Nebraska Cornhuskers of the Big Eight Conference. Favored Miami won 22–0. The Orange Bowl is an annual American college football bowl game played in the Miami metropolitan area. It has been played annually since January 1, 1935, making it, along with the Sugar Bowl and the Sun Bowl, the second-oldest bowl game in the country, behind the Rose Bowl (first played 1902, played annually since 1916). A draft is a process used in some countries (especially in North America) and sports (especially in closed leagues) to allocate certain players to teams. In a draft, teams take turns selecting from a pool of eligible players. When a team selects a player, the team receives exclusive rights to sign that player to a contract, and no other team in the league may sign the player. The process is similar to round-robin item allocation. The best-known type of draft is the entry draft, which is used to allocate players who have recently become eligible to play in a league. Linebacker
Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen. They are the "middle ground" of defenders, playing closer to the line of scrimmage than the defensive backs (secondary), but farther back than the defensive linemen.
