Troy Dannen
Troy Dannen is an American college athletics administrator. He has served as the seventeenth full-time athletic director at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln since March 2024, a position he previously held at the University of Washington, Tulane University, and the University of Northern Iowa. Early life and education Dannen was born and raised in Marshalltown, Iowa. He attended Iowa State University for a semester before transferring to the University of Northern Iowa, where he worked as an athletic assistant and graduated with a bachelor's degree in public relations with a minor in journalism in 1989. Dannen covered softball for a local newspaper and officiated high school sporting events while in college, and later served as the public address announcer for Drake women's basketball for a single season. An athletic director (commonly "athletics director" or "AD") is an administrator at many American clubs or institutions, such as colleges and universities, as well as in larger high schools and middle schools, who oversees the work of coaches and related staff involved in athletic programs. Position at institution Modern athletic directors are often in a precarious position, especially at the larger institutions. Although technically in charge of all the coaches, they are often far less well-compensated and also less famous, with few having their own television and radio programs as many coaches now do. Ben Jacobson
Ben Scott Jacobson (born December 16, 1970) is an American basketball coach. He is the head men's basketball coach at the University of Northern Iowa, a position he has held since 2006. He served as an assistant at North Dakota Fighting Hawks men's basketball, North Dakota, North Dakota State Bison men's basketball, North Dakota State, and Northern Iowa Panthers men's basketball, Northern Iowa before taking over as head coach at Northern Iowa in 2006. Playing career Jacobson attended Mayville-Portland High School. After his senior year he was named 1989's North Dakota Mr. Basketball. Jacobson went on to play collegiately at the University of North Dakota from 1989 to 1993. Jay Uhlman
Jay Uhlman (born February 26, 1974) is an American baseball coach and former shortstop, who is the current head baseball coach of the Tulane Green Wave. He began his playing career at Los Angeles Harbor College from 1993 to 1994 before transferring to Nevada where he played in 1995 and 1997. He also served as the head coach of the Los Angeles Harbor Seahawks (2000–2001). Playing career Uhlman went to Redondo Union High School in Redondo Beach, California, where he played shortstop. Uhlman was selected in the 48th round of the 1992 Major League Baseball draft by the Toronto Blue Jays. He declined to sign with the Blue Jays, and attended Los Angeles Harbor College. As a Freshman, Uhlman hit .337, being named 2nd Team All-Conference. As a sophomore, he was named First Team All-Conference. The College World Series (CWS), officially the NCAA Men's College World Series (MCWS), is a baseball tournament held each June in Omaha, Nebraska. Travis Jewett
Travis Jewett (born June 1, 1984) is an American college baseball coach and former player who is the current hitting coach and recruiting coordinator for the USC Trojans. Jewett played college baseball for Lower Columbia College team while obtaining his associate degree. He completed his education at Washington State University, where he did not play baseball. David Pierce (born October 13, 1962) is an American college baseball coach who is currently the head coach at Rice Owls baseball, Rice University. Assistant coaching history Houston Having coached at Rice in 1991 and then in the high school ranks, Pierce rejoined the collegiate coaching ranks at his alma mater, the University of Houston. As the Cougars hitting coach, he helped the team to two postseason tournaments. Georgia Southern Eagles Football
The Georgia Southern Eagles football program represents Georgia Southern University in football as part of the Sun Belt Conference. The current head coach is Clay Helton. The Eagles have won six FCS (I-AA) national championships and have produced two Walter Payton Award winners.
