Troy Baxter Jr.
Troy Leonard Baxter Jr. (born March 5, 1996) is an American professional basketball player for the Canterbury Rams of the New Zealand National Basketball League (NZNBL). He played college basketball for the UNLV Runnin' Rebels, Florida Gulf Coast Eagles and Morgan State Bears. High school career Baxter attended Oldsmar Christian School in Oldsmar, Florida. He saw his stock rise as he played for Team Breakdown in the Under Armour Association in 2015. Baxter committed to play college basketball for the South Florida Bulls on May 1, 2015. Baxter averaged 17 points, 7 rebounds and 1.5 blocks as a senior during the 2015–16 season. He was rated as a four-star recruit and ranked 90th in the ESPN 100. The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) is a collegiate athletic conference whose full members are historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) in the Southeastern and the Mid-Atlantic United States. The NBA G League, or simply the G League, is the National Basketball Association's (NBA) official minor league basketball organization. The league was known as the National Basketball Development League (NBDL) from 2001 to 2005, and the NBA Development League (NBA D-League) from 2005 until 2017. The league started with eight teams until NBA commissioner David Stern announced a plan to expand the NBA D-League to 15 teams and develop it into a true minor league farm system, with each NBA D-League team affiliated with one or more NBA teams in March 2005. 2021 NBA Summer League
The 2021 NBA Summer League was an off-season competition held by the National Basketball Association (NBA) at the Thomas and Mack Center and Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas, Nevada on the campus of University of Nevada, Las Vegas. The summer league consisted of the California Classic, Salt Lake City Summer League, and the Las Vegas NBA Summer League. This was the first NBA Summer League since 2019 as the 2020 NBA Summer League was cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and due to the Bubble. It began on August 8, 2021, and ended on August 17. All 30 NBA teams participated in the reboot of the summer league. Kevin Levoin Broadus (born January 30, 1964) is an American college basketball coach and currently the head coach at Morgan State. He is the former head coach at Binghamton University, where he resigned after an NCAA Investigation. Playing career Broadus began playing collegiately at Grambling State University, but transferred after his first season to Bowie State University. He played for Bowie State from 1983 to 1986, earning conference all-rookie honors in the 1984 season, and leading his team in scoring as a captain during his senior year.
