Trosa is a locality and the seat of Trosa Municipality, Södermanland County, Sweden with 5,027 inhabitants in 2010 (town) and 11,417 in 2010 (municipality). The town is colloquially nicknamed ''Världens ände'' ("The world's end", specifically the rear end, as "Trosa" is concidentally also Swedish for "panty"). The municipality of Trosa consists of the three towns Trosa, Västerljung and Vagnhärad. Despite its small size, Trosa states its place in Sweden. It is the second fastest growing town in Sweden (2,9%/year 2008) and is ranked as having the 3rd best business climate in Sweden (2011). History Trosa was known as a town in the 14th century. Trosa Municipality
Trosa Municipality (''Trosa kommun'') is a municipality in Södermanland County in southeast Sweden. The municipality consists of the localities of Vagnhärad, Västerljung, Stensund, Sund and the town of Trosa. The seat of the municipality is located in the town of Trosa. The present municipality was created as recently as 1992, when Nyköping Municipality, which Trosa had been a part of since 1974, was split in three parts. The municipality borders to Nyköping Municipality, Gnesta Municipality, and in the north to Södertälje Municipality in Stockholm County. Tourism During the summer, the municipality sees its population of 14´000 (2021) increase fourfold. This is mostly due to people living in the Stockholm area that, during the summer, move to their holiday cottages in the municipality. Södermanland County ( sv, Södermanlands län) is a county or '' län'' on the southeast coast of Sweden. In the local Sörmlandic dialects it is virtually universally shortened and pronounced as Sörmlands län, or simply Sörmland, which is the dominant pronunciation and spelling inside the county. Trosaån is a river in Sweden. The river flows east from the south east of Lake Sillen in the Sodermanland Region of Sweden. Adept is a Swedish metalcore band from Trosa. Formed in 2004, the band consists of vocalist Robert Ljung, guitarists Gustav Lithammer and Kasper Larcombe-Tronstad, bassist Filip Brandelius, drummer Gabriel Hellmark. Adept have released three EPs and four studio albums to date, including ''Another Year of Disaster'' in 2009, ''Death Dealers'' (which saw a shift in sound from their original post-hardcore influences) in 2011, ''Silence the World'' in 2013, and their latest release ''Sleepless'' in 2016. Göran Bror Benny Andersson (; born 16 December 1946) is a Swedish musician, singer, composer and producer best known as a member of the musical group ABBA and co-composer of the musicals ''Chess'', ''Kristina från Duvemåla'', and ''Mamma Mia!''
