Trofeo Bonfiglio
The Trofeo Bonfiglio ("Bonfiglio Trophy"), also known as the Campionati Internazionali d'Italia Juniores ("International Junior Championships of Italy"), is a prestigious junior tennis tournament held on outdoor red clay courts in Milan, Italy. It is one of five ITF Junior Circuit#Tournament_grades, Grade A tournaments, the junior equivalent of ATP Masters or WTA Premier Mandatory events in terms of rankings points allocated. The tournament is contested in late May right before the French Open. History The Trofeo Bonfiglio has been classified as a ITF Junior Circuit#Tournament_grades, Grade A tournament since 1978. Together with the Orange Bowl (tennis), Orange Bowl, it is one of the two oldest Grade A events to feature both boys' and girls' competitions. Sergio Tacchini (; born 2 September 1938) is an Italian former professional tennis player and fashion designer of sportswear. The sportswear firm bearing his name is located in Bellinzago Novarese, Novara, Italy. John Gilbert Alexander (born 4 July 1951), nicknamed JA, is an Australian former professional tennis player, sports broadcaster, and federal politician. As a tennis player, Alexander reached a career-high singles rank of no. 8 in the world in 1975. Winifred Mason Shaw (later Mrs. Wooldridge) (18 January 1947 – 30 March 1992) was a professional tennis player from Scotland whose career ran from the mid-1960s until the late 70s. Jan Kodeš
Jan Kodeš (born 1 March 1946) is a Czech former professional tennis player. A three-time major singles champion, Kodeš was one of the premier players in the early 1970s. Kodeš's greatest success was achieved on the clay courts of the French Open, where he won the singles title in 1970 and 1971. However, he also won Wimbledon on grass courts in 1973, although the tournament was largely boycotted by top players that year in a show of solidarity over the ban of Nikola Pilić by the International Lawn Tennis Federation (ILTF).
