Trnové ( hu, Zsolnatarnó) is a city part in the north-western part of Slovakia, approximately 7 kilometres south-east from Žilina. History The city part was first mentioned as a village in 1393. Geography It has population of around 2,600 people. Sights The city part offers a great view of the Malá Fatra mountains. It is also an entrance point into these mountains. Žilina
Žilina (; hu, Zsolna, ; german: Sillein, or ; pl, Żylina , names in other languages) is a city in north-western Slovakia, around from the capital Bratislava, close to both the Czech and Polish borders. It is the fourth largest city of Slovakia with a population of approximately 80,000, an important industrial center, the largest city on the Váh river, and the seat of a ''kraj'' (Žilina Region) and of an ''okres'' (Žilina District).
