Trnava District
Trnava District () is a district in the Trnava Region of Slovakia. In its present borders the district was established in 1996. Before that date Hlohovec district was a part of it. It comprises the villages around Trnava, which forms an administrative, cultural and economy center of the district. The towns and villages are partly bedroom communities for the people who work in Trnava or Bratislava. Districts Of Slovakia
The districts of Slovakia are administrative units known as in the Slovak language. It is a second-tier territorial administrative unit, below a Region () in standing, and superior to a municipality (). Each district contains at least several municipalities. The cities of Bratislava and Košice are the only cities in Slovakia divided into internal urban districts, with five in Bratislava, and four in Košice. These urban districts are then further divided into smaller boroughs (which serve a function analogous to municipalities in typical districts). All other districts are larger in size and also include rural areas, and rural as well as urban municipalities. Each of these more typical districts has an urban centre serving as the seat of the district, usually the largest town (or the only town) of a given district. Horné Orešany () is a village and municipality of the Trnava District in the Trnava region of Slovakia. It is located 16 km from the district capital Trnava and 48 km from Bratislava. A reservoir, also named Horné Orešany, is located nearby. The village is famous for its wine cultivation. Dolná Krupá
Dolná Krupá (; ) is a village and municipality of Trnava District in the Trnava region of Slovakia. It is located in the Danubian Hills at around 12 km from the city of Trnava. The important sights in the village are: * the Saint Andrew church, built in 1807-1811 * the Dolná Krupá mansion. The Dolná Krupá mansion was one of the residences of the House of Chotek, one of the most prominent Bohemian noble families. Dobrá Voda, Trnava District
Dobrá Voda is a municipality of Trnava District in the Trnava region of Slovakia. Cultural sites A Roman Catholic church from 1820 and a Holy Trinity chapel from 1730 are located in the village. The ruins of the Dobrá Voda castle are located in the Little Carpathians in Dobrá Voda. Notable people The most important poet of the Bernolák's group. Ján Hollý, lived and worked during the last years of his life (1843–1849) in Dobrá Voda. Earthquakes The village of Dobrá Voda was the seismologically most active region of Slovakia in the 20th century.
