Thiruvananthapuram District () is the southernmost district in the Indian state of Kerala. The district was created in 1949, with its headquarters in the city of Thiruvananthapuram, which is also Kerala's administrative centre. The present district was created in 1956 by separating the four southernmost Taluks of the erstwhile district to form Kanyakumari district. The city of Thiruvananthapuram is also known as the Information technology capital of the state, since it is home to the first and largest IT park in India, Technopark, established in 1990. Literacy In India
Literacy in India is a key for social-economic progress. The 2011 census, indicated a 2001–2011 literacy growth of 9.2%, which is slower than the growth seen during the previous decade. At the then-current rate of progress in 1990, one study projected that universal literacy might be reached by 2060. The census of India pegged the average literacy rate as 73% in 2011 while National Statistical Commission surveyed literacy to be 80.6% in 2017–18. National Highway (India)
The national highways in India are a network of Limited-access road, limited access roads owned by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. National highways have Overpass, flyover access or some Controlled-access highway, controlled-access, where entrance and exit is through the side of the flyover. Kazhakkoottam is a major urban area in the capital city of Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala state, India. The largest IT park in the country in terms of developed area, Technopark, along with Technocity-an upcoming integrated IT township-is situated here. Hence, it is known as the Information Technology capital of Kerala. It is one of the fastest-growing areas of the state. Nedumangad is a municipal town in the Thiruvananthapuram district in the Indian state of Kerala. It is the headquarters of Nedumangad Tehsil and Nedumangad Revenue Division. Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) is a state-owned road transport corporation in the Indian state of Kerala. It is one of the country's oldest state-run public bus transport services.
