Triumph Brewing
Triumph Brewing Company is a regional brewpub operator with locations in Princeton, New Jersey; Red Bank, New Jersey; New Hope, Pennsylvania; and formerly Philadelphia. The original operating name "Victory Brewing Company" was replaced to avoid trademark disputes with an existing United Kingdom brand; the Victory Brewing Company of Downingtown, Pennsylvania had yet to be established. Initial construction plans for a Lambertville, New Jersey location never materialized. History Renovation of the Princeton location began in the spring of 1994 and it opened to the public on March 19, 1995. The first purpose-built brewpub in the state, the facility features cathedral ceilings, seating for over 275 people, and a two-story, glass-enclosed brewhouse. The non-automated 11-barrel stainless steel brewery was fabricated by Newlands Systems of Abbotsford, British Columbia. The Great American Beer Festival (GABF) is an annual beer festival hosted by the Brewers Association, held in Denver, Colorado. Typically held in late September or early October, the event is currently held at Denver's Colorado Convention Center. Established in 1982, it is the largest ticketed beer festival in the U.S. and one of the largest in the world. History The GABF was founded by brewer Charlie Papazian, and the first festival was held in conjunction with the American Homebrewers Association's annual conference in Boulder, Colorado in June 1982, featuring 24 participating breweries and 47 beers. In a private event held the week prior, judges evaluate the beers in the associated competition, and award medals in over 100 beer style categories. The New Hope Railroad , formerly and colloquially known as the New Hope and Ivyland Railroad, is a shortline and heritage railroad located in New Hope, Pennsylvania. Today, the railroad operates both steam and diesel powered locomotives and is an associate member of NORAC. Services Heritage The heritage operations utilize both steam and diesel powered locomotives for excursion trips out of New Hope. Regular NHRR excursions typically operate between New Hope and Lahaska, with some occasionally going to Buckingham Valley. The railroad mostly uses former Reading Company passenger cars, which date between 1914 and 1932, for excursions.
