Tristraum is a futurepop band from Denver, Colorado. The band consists of Krystyna Eller (lead vocals and lyrics), Randall Erkelens (synthesizers & programming), and Pierre Norman (programming). Career Their first single 'Shiver' charted on the German DAC charts with remixes from Assemblage 23 and Echo Image. Released on the German label Intrapop and distributed by A Different Drum, 'Shiver' earned positive music reviews. ''Gray'', their debut album on Section 44 Records, was released in 2005 followed by a second single "First Embrace" in 2006. Tristraum has appeared on dozens of various artists compilations and remixed over 25 other artists in their first two years together. Section 44 Records is an independent record label and online store based in Colorado and specializing in electronic music and related genres. In 2004, Section 44 Records was formed by Pierre Norman and Randall Erkelens from the band Tristraum. Section 44 acquired the synthpop forum Sloth Radio and defunct label Kiss My Asterix Records. Echo Image
Echo Image is a Norwegian synthpop band from Fredrikstad. The band started in the summer of 1997 when Pål Magnus Rybom and Jon-Ivar Berg started experimenting with electronic music. That summer the two of them recorded a demo. Berg left the group after they failed attract the attention of record labels and went to focus on his music project Biozide. Later that year Fredrik Hansen joined and Echo Image was officially formed with Trine Bilet joining towards the end of the year providing backing vocals, keyboards, and synthesizers. In December 1998, Echo Image recorded the ''Walkout'' EP, which was sold locally through a label called Kvarts Musikk. Their musical style didn't really suit Kvarts, whose catalog consisted of punk, prog, and lo-fi music; so in 2000 they signed to US synthpop label A Different Drum with the German label Bloodline releasing their music in Europe. Synthpop

Assemblage 23 is an electronic act from the United States, currently based in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. It was founded in 1988 by Tom Shear who writes the music and lyrics and does the recording himself. Live performances are supported by Paul Seegers on keyboards and Mike Jenney on drums. History 1980s–1990s (pre–Assemblage 23) Prior to starting Assemblage 23, Shear experimented with music under the name Man on a Stage, beginning in the early 1980s. A Different Drum was an independent record label and online store based in Smithfield, Utah, founded in 1996. The label specialized in synthpop and related genres. A Different Drum has released hundreds of albums, singles, and compilations and was the biggest synthpop label in the U.S. The label is credited with helping to keep the synthpop genre progressing during the grunge rock mid-1990s and into the early 2000s, particularly supporting American Synthpop Groups (Cosmicity, The Echoing Green, B! Machine and others) in their early years. Dead or Alive were an English pop band that released seven studio albums from 1984 to 2000. The band formed in 1980 in Liverpool and found success in the mid-1980s, releasing seven singles that made the UK top 40 and three albums on the UK top 30. "Empire State Human" is a song by the British synthpop group The Human League. The song was written by Philip Oakey, Martyn Ware and Ian Craig Marsh. It was co-produced by The Human League and Colin Thurston, and recorded at Monumental Studios in Sheffield. The song was the third single to be released by the original line-up of the Human League, and the first and only single from the band's 1979 debut album ''Reproduction''. Upon its first release in October 1979, the single failed to chart. However, it was re-released in June 1980 and fared slightly better, reaching number 62 in the UK Singles Chart. Leiahdorus is a synthpop band on the independent Section 44 Records label. Leiahdorus was created by Jason Smith in 1998. When Joey Belville of The Echoing Green acquired a demonstration tape, he took Jason under his wing and produced a demo with him.
