The Trisol Music Group, GmbH (or Trisol), is a German business group and record label headquartered in Dieburg. Owning multiple sublabels, they specialize in producing musical works pertaining to darkwave, dark folk, gothic rock, deathrock, ethereal wave and other gothic genres of music. (Though there are exceptions to this, as Trisol also publishes for musical artists who perform black metal, synthpop, noise music, EBM, Neue Deutsche Härte, dark ambient, neofolk, horror punk, experimental, etc.) In general they are considered a major European label for works within the realm of Dark Alternative music. Horror Punk
Horror punk is a music genre that mixes punk rock and 1950s-influenced doo-wop and rockabilly sounds with morbid and violent imagery and lyrics which are often influenced by horror films and science fiction B-movies. The genre was pioneered by the Misfits in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Subsequent bands formed in the Misfits' wake like Mourning Noise, the Undead and Samhain, solidifying horror punk's first wave. In the late 1990s and early 2000s the genre gained attention through the reunion of the Misfits and success of groups like AFI, Son of Sam and the Murderdolls. This popularity continued to the modern day with Blitzkid, Calabrese and Creeper. Characteristics Horror punk is defining by its fusion of punk rock music with the imagery and lyrical topics common in the horror film genre. Cenobita
Cenobita is an aggrotech/cyberpunk band based in Mexico City, created in 1994 by Claus Bita (programming, vocals and production) and former band member Omar Flo (vocals). History Cenobita formed as a duo of Claus Bita and Omar Flo in August of 1994. Bita and Flo met in Mexico City in 1993 and discovered a shared like for industrial and electronic music, inspired by bands such as Skinny Puppy and Front Line Assembly, and drawing mutual conceptual inspiration from the 'cyberpunk' works of William Gibson. At the time, Flo owned some equipment that the duo used to begin making their own electronic music. Dust Of Basement
Dust of Basement was an electronic music band originally from Berlin, formed in 1991. They combine elements of electro-industrial music and gothic pop. The final members were Sven Wolff, Birgitta Behr and Peer Lebrecht. They officially disbanded in 2006, their last performance being a farewell concert at the Berlin club K17, on December 9. Birgitta Behr was the female voice of Dust Of Basement since 1993. She wrote the lyrics for the "Come With Me" album. Her paintings are part of many Dust of Basement CD artworks. Sven Wolff entered Dust of Basement in 1992. He composed and produced all music of Dust Of Basement. Live he is playing the keyboards. His current project is Patenbrigade: Wolff. Attrition are an English electronic music band, formed in Coventry in 1980 by Martin Bowes and Julia Niblock. The band emerged from the experimental post-punk scene of the early 1980s and, along with other groups such as Throbbing Gristle, Coil, Einstürzende Neubauten, and In the Nursery, greatly contributed to the development of industrial music in the UK. ASP is a German gothic rock band from Frankfurt am Main formed in 1999. The name is identical to the pseudonym of the band's leader Asp (Alexander Spreng), and is pronounced as one word (like the snake). Biography ASP were formed in 1999 by Alexander Frank Spreng (a.k.a.
