Triptax
Triptax is a drug which is under development for the treatment of depressive disorders and treatment-resistant depression. Its mechanism of action has not been defined. The drug is being developed by Biomind Labs. As of December 2022, it is in the preclinical research stage of development. The chemical structure of Triptax does not yet seem to have been disclosed, but it is described as a new chemical entity. Aside from Triptax, Biomind Labs is also developing a variety of defined serotonergic agents and serotonergic psychedelics for treatment of various conditions. Treatment-resistant Depression
Treatment-resistant depression (TRD) is often defined as major depressive disorder in which an affected person does not respond adequately to at least two different antidepressant medications at an adequate dose and for an adequate duration. Inadequate response has most commonly been defined as less than 25% reduction in depressive symptoms following treatment with an antidepressant. Many clinicians and researchers question the construct validity and clinical utility of treatment-resistant depression as currently conceptualized.
