Trimmer is an unincorporated community in Fresno County, California. The site of the resort is now covered by the waters of Pine Flat Reservoir. but the new community is located along the lakeside above the old site. Piedra (Spanish for "Stone") is an unincorporated community in Fresno County, California. It is located on the south bank of the Kings River east of Fresno, at an elevation of 538 feet (164 m). History In 1911, the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad built a branch line to a nearby quarry and bestowed the name "Piedra", Spanish for "rock" or "stone". In 1965 this line was abandoned and pulled up. The town was variously known as "Del Piedra" and "Delpiedra" before the name was standardized to Piedra. The Kings River () is a river draining the Sierra Nevada mountain range in central California in the United States. Its headwaters originate along the Sierra Crest in and around Kings Canyon National Park and form Kings Canyon, one of the deepest river gorges in North America. Pine Flat Lake is an artificial lake or reservoir in the Sierra Nevada foothills of eastern Fresno County, California on the western north-south border to the Sierra- and Sequoia National Forests, about east of Fresno. The lake is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and is open to boaters, campers & hikers.
