Tricia Wright
Tricia Wright (born 1 September 1958) is an English former professional darts player from Mitcham in Surrey. Her nickname was The Wright Stuff. Career Wright competed in the first PDC Women's World Championship final in 2010, losing 6-5 to Stacy Bromberg despite having four darts to win it. She played at the 2010 Grand Slam of Darts, losing all 3 of her group matches to Raymond van Barneveld, Darryl Fitton and Colin Lloyd. Since 2001 she has won over 50 amateur titles. Wright was due to be one of three ladies to play on the 2011 PDC ProTour, along with Bromberg and Anastasia Dobromyslova but after the PDC decided to drop the Women's World championship and thus its qualification to the Grand Slam of Darts she decided to go back to the BDO without playing a single PDC event. Epping, Essex
Epping is a market town and civil parish in the Epping Forest District of Essex, England. Part of the London metropolitan area, metropolitan and Urban area, urban area of London, it is 17 miles (27 km) northeast of Charing Cross. Darryl Fitton
Darryl Fitton (born 5 May 1962) is a former English professional darts player. He was nicknamed The Dazzler and worked as an undertaker before embarking on his darts career. Fitton won the 2009 Finder Masters and the 2016 BDO World Trophy. He was also a three-time BDO World Championship semi-finalist, the runner-up at the 2007 World Masters, and a quarter-finalist at the 2008 Grand Slam of Darts. Darts career Fitton's first TV appearance was against Peter Manley in the 1997 PDC World Matchplay. However, he lost 8–6, and has not made another PDC appearance since. Fitton debuted in the BDO World Championship in 2003 as a qualifier, but lost 1–3 to fellow qualifier John Burton in the first round. 2010 PDC Women's World Darts Championship
The 2010 PDC Women's World Championship was the only ever staging of the PDC Women's World Darts Championship, and the first women's tournament to be organised by the Professional Darts Corporation. It was one of the three new tournaments that the PDC created in 2010, following the rejection of its offer to buy out the British Darts Organisation. The initial stages of the tournament were played at the Metrodome in Barnsley on 12 June. The final was played during the World Matchplay at the Empress Ballroom in Blackpool, on Saturday July 24, where Stacy Bromberg defeated Tricia Wright to become the only champion of the event. Zuiderduin Masters
The Finder Darts Masters was a darts tournament held in Egmond aan Zee, Netherlands, sanctioned by the British Darts Organisation and the World Darts Federation, running intermittently under several different names from 1995 to 2018. The tournament was previously known as the Zuiderduin Masters from 2007 to 2014, as the Leendesk Masters in 2005, as the Doeland Grand Masters from 2001 to 2004, as the European Grand Masters in 2000, and as the Dutch Grand Masters in 1995 and 1996. It was held in December and was traditionally the last BDO event held before the annual World Championship. 2009 Zuiderduin Masters
The 2009 Zuiderduin Masters was a British Darts Organisation darts tournament that took place on 11–13 December in Egmond aan Zee, Netherlands. It was the 11th staging of the event, and the last tournament to be staged that year. The competition saw Darryl Fitton hit a nine-dart finish during his quarter-final match against Ross Montgomery, becoming the first player to achieve the feat in the Zuiderduin's history. Fitton went on to win the tournament, with a 4 sets to 2 win over Martin Adams in the final, becoming the third Englishman to claim the title. The women's event was won by Wales' Julie Gore, who triumphed against Tricia Wright 2 sets to 0. Gore's three dart average of 86.07 was the highest recognized average for a ladies player in a BDO major, since Anastasia Dobromyslova's 81.54 average in the 2008 World Championship.
