Trevor Smith (ice Hockey)
Trevor Smith (born February 8, 1985) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey centre. He most recently played with the San Antonio Rampage in the American Hockey League (AHL). Early life Smith is Jewish, and was born in Ottawa, Ontario. He is the son of Harvey Smith. His parents are originally from Montreal, Quebec. Smith grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia. His father has coached Canada's ice hockey team in the Maccabiah Games. Playing career Amateur Before college, he played in 2001–02 for the Queens Park Pirates Pacific Junior Hockey League (PIJHL), in 2003–04 for the Quesnel Millionaires of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL), and in 2004–05 for the Omaha Lancers of the United States Hockey League (USHL), for whom he played in the USHL All Star Game. The Tampa Bay Lightning (colloquially known as the Bolts) are a professional ice hockey team based in Tampa, Florida. Utah Grizzlies(ECHL)
The Utah Grizzlies are a professional ice hockey team in the ECHL. They play their home games at the Maverik Center in West Valley City, Utah. Franchise history The current Utah Grizzlies franchise started in 1981 as the Nashville South Stars in Nashville, Tennessee, in the Central Hockey League. Henry Brabham then took over the team in 1983 and relocated them to Vinton, Virginia mid-season, to become the Virginia Lancers. Brabham and the Lancers were then one of the founding members of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) in 1988. The All-America designation is an annual honor bestowed upon an amateur sports person from the United States who is considered to be one of the best amateurs in their sport. Individuals receiving this distinction are typically added to an All-America team for their sport. Some sports will have multiple All-America teams and will list the honorees as members of a first team, second team, or third team. As such, All-America teams are composed of outstanding US amateur players. Individuals falling short of qualifying for the honor may receive All-America honorable mention. The United States Hockey League (USHL) is the top junior ice hockey league sanctioned by USA Hockey. The Omaha Lancers are a Tier I junior ice hockey team and are members of the Western Conference of the United States Hockey League (USHL). Founded in 1986, the Lancers play at the Liberty First Credit Union Arena in Ralston, Nebraska.
