Nightwing
Nightwing is a superhero alias used by multiple characters in American comic books published by DC Comics. The most prominent bearer is Dick Grayson, the original Robin, who adopts the Nightwing identity to assert his independence from Batman. The name has its origins in Superman comics, where it was initially used by Superman in the bottled city of Kandor. Following the ''Crisis on Infinite Earths'' and '' Zero Hour: Crisis in Time!'' continuity reboots in 1985 and 1994, respectively, Nightwing was reimagined as a legendary vigilante from Krypton whose story inspires Dick Grayson's choice of name when he leaves behind his Robin identity. ''Leatherwing'', also known as ''Batman: Leatherwing'', is a DC Comics ''Elseworlds'' story published in '' Detective Comics Annual'' #7 in 1994. It was written by Chuck Dixon and illustrated by Enrique Alcatena, who also devised the plot. This story features a version of Batman as a pirate of the High Seas, during the Golden Age of Piracy. A sequel to the story was published in ''The Batman Chronicles'' #11 (winter 1998). Batwoman
Batwoman is a name of several superheroes appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, depicted as female counterparts and allies of Batman similarly to Batgirl. The original version of the character, Kathy Kane (eventually given the birth name Katrina "Luka" Netz to differentiate the character from the newer version), was created by writer Edmond Hamilton and artist Sheldon Moldoff under the direction of editor Jack Schiff as a love interest in an attempt to combat allegations of Batman's homosexuality arising from the controversial book, ''Seduction of the Innocent.'' Aquaman
Aquaman is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Created by Paul Norris and Mort Weisinger, the character debuted in ''More Fun Comics'' #73 (November 1941).
