Trevor (film)
''Trevor'' is a 1994 American short film directed by Peggy Rajski, produced by Randy Stone and Peggy Rajski, and written by Celeste Lecesne.Credited as James Lecesne. Set in 1981, the film follows what happens to 13-year-old Trevor, a Diana Ross fan, when his crush on a schoolmate named Pinky Faraday gets discovered. In 1995, it tied for an Oscar for Best Short Subject with '' Franz Kafka's It's a Wonderful Life'' at the 67th Academy Awards. It won the Teddy Award for Best Short in 1995. Peggy Rajski
Peggy M. Rajski (born 20 August 1953) is an American filmmaker, best known for directing and co-producing the 1994 American short film '' Trevor'', which won an Academy Award for "Best Live Action Short Film" at the 67th Annual Academy Awards in 1995. She is a founder of The Trevor Project, a crisis-intervention and suicide prevention organization for LGBTQ+ youth. Rajski taught producing and filmmaking at New York University's graduate film program and was dean of the Loyola Marymount University School of Film and Television in Los Angeles, California from 2018 to 2021. From November 2022 until July 2024 she was Interim CEO of The Trevor Project. Early life and education Rajski was born and raised in Stevens Point, Wisconsin where she was one of ten siblings.
