Treviso Foot Ball Club 1993, commonly known as Treviso, is an Italian association football, football club based in Treviso, Veneto, which competes in Serie D, the fourth tier of Football in Italy, Italian football. ''Football Club Treviso'' was originally founded in 1909, while the current society dates back to 1921. The team has been playing its home matches in the 10,000-seat Stadio Omobono Tenni since 1933. Stadio Omobono Tenni () is a Football (soccer), football stadium in Treviso, Italy. It is currently the home of Treviso FBC 1993. The stadium was built in 1933 and holds 10,001. After the inauguration in 1933, a friendly match between Treviso FBC and Udinese was held, which was followed by a friendly against the Italy National Team. In the 1940s and 1950s the capacity of the stadium was of 12,000 seats. Alberto Cavasin
Alberto Cavasin (born 9 January 1956) is an Italian football manager and former player. Playing career Cavasin, a right back, started his professional career in 1973 for Treviso; he then played for a number of Serie A, B and C clubs, with some success. He retired in 1990. Managerial career After a few months as ''Allievi Nazionali'' coach for Calcio Padova, Cavasin became coach of Treviso for the 1990–91 season, to be sacked soon after. After a number of season at the helm of several Serie C clubs, Cavasin became coach of last-placed Serie B club A.C. Cesena in 1998, as a replacement for Corrado Benedetti, and led the team to keep its place in the league. Alessio Sestu (born 29 September 1983) is an Italian football executive and former player, currently in charge as the sporting director of Piacenza. Alex Cordaz (born 1 January 1983) is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Vigne. Career Inter Milan Cordaz started his career at Inter Milan. ''Calciopoli'' () was a sports scandal in Italy's top professional association football league Serie A, and to a lesser extent, Serie B. The scandal centered on the manipulation of referee appointments to favor certain clubs during the 2004-05 and 2005-06 seasons. It was uncovered in May 2006, when a number of telephone tappings showed relations between clubs' executives and referee organizations, being accused of selecting favourable referees. This implicated league champions Juventus and several other clubs, including Fiorentina, Lazio, AC Milan, and Reggina.
