Dick Tressel
Dick Tressel (born ) is a former American football coach and college athletics administrator. He served as the head football coach at Hamline University in Saint Paul, Minnesota, from 1978 to 2000, compiling a record of 124–102–2. Tressel was also the athletic director at Hamline from 1979 to 2000. He then moved on to Ohio State University where he worked as an assistant football coach under his brother, Jim Tressel, from 2001 to 2010. Jim Tressel
James Patrick Tressel (born December 5, 1952) is an American politician and retired college football coach who has served as the 67th lieutenant governor of Ohio since 2025. A member of the Republican Party, Tressel previously was the president of Youngstown State University from 2014 to 2023. Before becoming an administrator, Tressel was the head football coach of the Youngstown State Penguins and later the Ohio State Buckeyes in a career that spanned from 1986 until 2010. Tressel's teams won five national championships (four with YSU during the 1990s, and one with OSU in 2002) during the course of his career, earning him numerous Coach of the Year accolades, and an induction into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2015. Lee Tressel (February 12, 1925 – April 16, 1981) was a football coach and athletic director at Baldwin–Wallace College in Berea, Ohio. Tressel accumulated the most winning record as the head football coach at Baldwin–Wallace. His 1978 team won the NCAA Division III Football Championship, achieved National Coach of that year, and in 1996 was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. Markus Tressel (born 17 April 1977) is a German politician of Alliance 90/The Greens who served as a member of the Bundestag from the state of Saarland from 2009 until 2021. Mike Tressel (born September 28, 1973) is an American college football coach. He is the defensive coordinator and inside linebackers coach for the University of Wisconsin–Madison, positions he has held since 2023. Tressel, the nephew of former Ohio State head coach Jim Tressel, joined the University of Cincinnati's football coaching staff under Mark Dantonio in 2004. Tressel followed Dantonio to Michigan State when he was hired there in December 2006. He was named the acting head coach when Dantonio announced his retirement in February 2020. Hinge and Bracket was a British comedy and musical act consisting of two characters, Dr Evadne Hinge and Dame Hilda Bracket, devised and played by female impersonators George Logan and Patrick Fyffe. Hinge and Bracket were portrayed as a pair of elderly, intellectual female musicians; in these personae, Logan and Fyffe played and sang songs to comic effect. They rose to fame in the 1970s and made many appearances on television and radio. The two generally performed together but, on rare occasions, appeared separately. A trestle bridge is a bridge composed of a number of short spans supported by closely spaced frames usually carrying a railroad line. A trestle (sometimes tressel) is a rigid frame used as a support, historically a tripod used to support a stool or a pair of isosceles triangles joined at their apices by a plank or beam such as the support structure for a trestle table. Each supporting frame is a bent. A trestle differs from a viaduct in that viaducts have towers that support much longer spans and typically have a higher elevation.
