Trenton Brooks
Trenton Brooks (born July 3, 1995) is an American professional baseball first baseman and outfielder for the San Diego Padres of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the San Francisco Giants. He made his MLB debut in 2024. Amateur career A native of Alpine, California, Brooks attended Granite Hills High School and played college baseball at the University of Nevada, Reno. In 2015, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Chatham Anglers of the Cape Cod Baseball League. Professional career Cleveland Indians/Guardians Brooks was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 17th round, with the 512th overall selection, of the 2016 Major League Baseball draft. The Las Vegas Aviators, formerly known as the Las Vegas 51s and Las Vegas Stars, are a Minor League Baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL) and the Triple-A affiliate of the Athletics. The Chatham Anglers, more commonly referred to as the Chatham A's and formerly the Chatham Athletics, are a collegiate summer baseball team based in Chatham, Massachusetts. The team is a member of the Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL) and plays in the league's East Division. Sacramento River Cats
The Sacramento River Cats are a Minor League Baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL) and are the Triple-A (baseball), Triple-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. Prior to 2015, the River Cats were the Triple-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics for 15 seasons. They are based in West Sacramento, California, and play their home games at Sutter Health Park, which opened in 2000 and was known as Raley Field through 2019. Sacramento was previously represented in the Pacific Coast League by the Sacramento Solons, Solons, a charter member of the league which was founded in 1903. Sean William Newcomb (born June 12, 1993) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Athletics of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the Atlanta Braves, Chicago Cubs, Oakland Athletics, and Boston Red Sox. He played college baseball at the University of Hartford. The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim selected Newcomb in the first round of the 2014 MLB draft, and traded him to the Braves in 2015, for whom he made his MLB debut in 2017. The Lake County Captains are a Minor League Baseball team in Eastlake, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland, that plays in the Midwest League as the High-A affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians.
