Trendon Nelson Watford (born November 9, 2000) is an American professional basketball player for the Brooklyn Nets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the LSU Tigers. High school career Watford began his high school basketball playing career for Shades Valley High School in Irondale, Alabama while attending Irondale Middle School before moving to Mountain Brook, Alabama where he played high school basketball for Mountain Brook High School from his freshman year to senior year. A highly touted five star prospect, Watford holds many Alabama state records, among these is the Alabama High School Athletic Association’s career rebounding record. Nike Elite Youth Basketball League
The Nike Elite Youth Basketball League, also known as Nike EYBL, or simply EYBL, is a basketball circuit for teams of players aged 17 and under. The circuit was founded in 2010 and is composed of AAU travel teams. Both boys and girls play in the EYBL in their respective categories. The EYBL is considered one of the top youth basketball circuits in the United States, and includes one Canadian team. Shades Valley High School (SVHS) is a four-year public secondary school in the Birmingham, Alabama suburb of Irondale. The school was established in 1948 near Homewood and moved to its present location in 1996. SVHS is the largest of 14 high schools in the Jefferson County School District.
