Tregaron Conservancy
The Tregaron Conservancy is a 13 acre Private protected area, privately owned and Park conservancy, managed historic woodland garden nature park in Northwest (Washington, D.C.), Northwest, Washington, D.C. and the nonprofit organization that manages it. It is an urban green space in Cleveland Park, bounded in the north by Macomb Stream and private residences, in the south and east by the Klingle Valley Trail which connects to Rock Creek Park, and to the west by the Washington International School and Twin Oaks (Washington, D.C.), Twin Oaks estate. The conservancy is part of former Tregaron Estate, which was formerly part of the neighboring estate Twin Oaks (Washington, D.C.), Twin Oaks. Landscape architect Ellen Biddle Shipman, designed a “wilderness garden, with streams and bridges and paths, and native plants and dappled sunshine" planted with specimens that mimic the natural surroundings. Cleveland Park Station
Cleveland Park station is an underground rapid transit station on the Red Line of the Washington Metro. Located in the neighborhood of the same name in Washington D.C., it opened on December 5, 1981. Station layout There are two entrances to the station, both on Connecticut Avenue but on opposite sides of the street between Ordway Street NW and Porter Street NW. Each of these street-level entrances contains an escalator and a staircase leading to an upper mezzanine that joins the two entrances underground. A set of three escalators descends to the station concourse, which houses fare control and ticket machines. An escalator and staircase lead down from the fare gates to the platform. An elevator from street level to the concourse is available on the northeastern corner of the intersection of Connecticut Avenue NW and Ordway Street NW and an elevator is available between the concourse and platform after passing through the fare gates. Washington International School
The Washington International School (abbreviated as WIS; ; ) is a private international school in Washington, DC. Established in 1966, WIS was the first school in the Washington area to offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. The school has two campuses: the primary school (grades PK–5) in Georgetown (Washington, D.C.), Georgetown, and the middle and upper school (grades 6–12) in Cleveland Park. Shaul Eisenberg
Shaul Nehemia Eisenberg (; 22 September 1921 – 27 March 1997) was an Israeli businessman and billionaire tycoon. Biography Shaul Eisenberg was born in Munich to a religious Jewish family from Poland, being the fifth out of six children born to Sophie (née Katz) and David Eisenberg. His mother was from Krakow and his father was from Warsaw. Shortly after the uprising of the Nazis in the government, he fled to Shanghai. While in Tokyo, Eisenberg met and married Leah Freudlsperger, a half-Japanese woman who was the daughter of an Austrian painter, and the couple had five daughters and a son. Eisenberg died in Beijing in 1997, two years before the expiration of the Eisenberg Law. After his death, the family fought over the inheritance, valued at around 1 billion dollars. Advisory Neighborhood Commissions (ANCs) are bodies of local government in the District of Columbia, the capital city of the United Statesdistrict.
