Trebonne State School is a public co-educational primary school located in the town of Trebonne, Queensland, Australia. History Prior to European settlement, the Trebonne area was inhabited by the Warakamai People. Education in Queensland is the responsibility of the Department of Education. The Queensland school system is based around Queensland state schools, independent schools and catholic schools. Schooling in Queensland begins with a preparatory year (Prep) followed by 12 years of study. Primary schools teach Prep through to Year 6, while high school or secondary school is from Year 7 to 12. Prep became compulsory in 2017, and is a full-time program. John Row (Australian Politician)
Sir John Alfred Row KBE (1 January 1905 – 15 May 1993) was a member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly. Biography Row was born at Ingham, Queensland, the son of Charles Edward Row and his wife Emily Harriett (née Weller). He was educated at Trebonne State School, before heading to Toowoomba where he attended Toowoomba East State School and then the Toowoomba Grammar School. After leaving school he purchased a cane farm at Trebonne in 1924 and worked it until 1960. On 19 November 1929 he married Gladys Mary Hollins and together had a daughter. Gladys died in 1952 and Row then married Irene Gough on 31 July 1966. He died at Ingham in May 1993. Public career Row started in politics as a councillor on the Hinchinbrook Shire Council from 1952 until 1963. The ''Fraser Coast Chronicle'' is an online newspaper serving the Fraser Coast area in Queensland, Australia. It was started as the Maryborough Chronicle, Wide Bay and Burnett Advertiser. History Charles Hardie Buzacott first published the ''Maryborough Chronicle, Wide Bay and Burnett Advertiser'' in Maryborough as a four-page tabloid, in his slab hut in Lennox Street in November 1860. It sold for sixpence and was read from Gayndah in the west and Childers in the north to Gympie in the south. In 1863, Buzacott sold his interests to William Swain Roberts and Joseph Robinson, who set out to "reflect the community's wants and opinions while boldly and distinctly enunciating our own views".
