''Treason'' is a lost 1917 silent film war-drama directed by and starring Allen Holubar and costarring Lois Wilson and Dorothy Davenport. Allen Holubar
Allen Holubar (August 3, 1890 – November 20, 1923) was an American actor, film director, and screenwriter of the silent film era. He appeared in 38 films between 1913 and 1917. He also directed 33 films between 1916 and 1923. Career Allen Holubar started out as an actor on the stage where he met his wife Dorothy Phillips in the Chicago production of ''Every Woman''. While she turned to the screen and continued to act he became a director and even produced. Encouraged by these successes, together they formed the Allen Holubar Production Company in 1920. His 1918 film ''The Heart of Humanity'' was exhibited at Museum of Modern Art, The Museum of Modern Art in 2014. Marriage and death Holubar was married to actress Dorothy Phillips for eleven years from 1912 until his death in 1923 from pneumonia, following surgery, at the age of 33. Leo Pierson
Leo Pierson (1888-1943) was an American film actor who was active during Hollywood's silent era. He was married to director and screenwriter Ruth Ann Baldwin. Biography Leo was born in Abilene, Kansas, to Charles Pierson and his wife, Maude; Charles was an immigrant from Sweden. Later on, he moved to Los Angeles and attended St. Vincent's College for Boys, St. Vincent's College, where he began appearing in stage plays and graduated in 1907. His first known film role was in the 1911 short ''The Profligate''. He acted in dozens of films from 1911 through 1919, the year he appears to have changed gears and focused on his work as a production manager. He married screenwriter and director Ruth Ann Baldwin on February 19, 1917, the same year he appeared in her Universal films ''A Wife on Trial'' and '''49–'17, '49-'17''. Guy Edward Hearn (September 6, 1888 – April 15, 1963) was an American actor who, in a forty-year film career, starting in 1915, played hundreds of roles, starting with juvenile leads, then, briefly, as leading man, all during the silent era. With the arrival of sound, he became a character actor, appearing in scores of productions for virtually every studio, in which he was mostly unbilled, while those credits in which he was listed, reflected at least nine stage names, most frequently Edward Hearn, but also Guy E.
