Travis MacKenzie
Travis MacKenzie (born June 3, 1986, in Carnegie, Pennsylvania) is an American soccer player and associate head coach of the Chartiers Valley Colts soccer team who last played for Pittsburgh Riverhounds in the USL Second Division. Career College and amateur MacKenzie attended Chartiers Valley High School where amongst other awards he was an NSCAA All-American, a two-time Regional All-American, a three-time All-State selection, and the 2004 Almanac Athlete of the Year. He subsequently played four years of college soccer at the Duquesne University, where he had an equally stellar career; he was a member of the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team and the Atlantic 10 Pre-Season All-Rookie Team as a freshman in 2004, was an NSCAA Mid-Atlantic All-Region Second Team and Atlantic 10 First Team All-Conference selection as a sophomore in 2005, was a member of the NSCAA Mid-Atlantic All-Region First, Atlantic 10 First Team All-Conference and Atlantic 10 Pre-Season All-Conference teams as a junio ... Carnegie () is a borough in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States, and is part of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. The population was 7,972 in the 2010 census. The Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL), originally known as the National Indoor Soccer League, was a professional indoor soccer league which began play in 2008. Wilmington Hammerheads FC was a semi-professional American soccer team based in Wilmington, North Carolina. Founded in 1996, the team last competed in the Premier Development League, the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid in 2017. History The Hammerheads had one championship in 2003, and were a finalist in 2002 and 2012, losing to the Long Island Rough Riders 2–1 in 2002 and losing 0–1 to the Charleston Battery in 2012. Wilmington found great success in the US Open Cup in their later years, regularly drawing MLS teams in the late rounds. Their most famous result occurred in 2003 when they drew the Dallas Burn, an MLS team, in the middle of a particularly bad year.
