Travis Barker
Travis Landon Barker (born November 14, 1975) is an American musician, songwriter, and music producer who is the drummer for the rock band Blink-182. He has collaborated with hip hop artists, is a member of the rap rock group Transplants, co-founded the rock band +44, and has also joined Box Car Racer, Antemasque and Goldfinger. Barker was a frequent collaborator with the late DJ AM, with whom he formed the duo TRV$DJAM. Due to his fame, ''Rolling Stone'' referred to him as "punk's first superstar drummer", as well as one of the 100 greatest drummers of all time. Born in Fontana, California, Barker began drumming at an early age. He began playing for The Aquabats in 1996, but left to join Blink-182 in 1998, which encountered mainstream success with '' Enema of the State'' (1999). The 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards was held at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on March 14, 2019, and was broadcast live on Fox Broadcasting Company, Fox. Goldfinger (band)
Goldfinger is an American punk rock band from Los Angeles, formed in 1994. In their early years, the band was considered a contributor to the movement of third-wave ska, a mid-1990s revitalization in the popularity of ska, evidenced in their first three albums: '' Goldfinger'' (1996), '' Hang-Ups'' (1997) and '' Stomping Ground'' (2000). However, the releases of '' Open Your Eyes'' (2002) and '' Disconnection Notice'' (2005) saw the band shed most of the ska influence, and they have been more commonly placed in the pop-punk genre in later years. Antemasque (band)
Antemasque was an American rock supergroup formed in 2014 by former members of At the Drive-In and The Mars Volta, Omar Rodríguez-López and Cedric Bixler-Zavala. Their first album featured Red Hot Chili Peppers's Flea on bass and Dave Elitch on drums. Both Flea and Elitch had previously played with The Mars Volta. Omar's brother Marfred Rodríguez-López (formerly of Zechs Marquise) eventually joined as a permanent bassist with Blink-182 member Travis Barker taking over drumming duties. TRV$DJAM
TRV$DJAM was a collaboration project between Travis Barker of Blink-182 and Adam Goldstein, a.k.a. DJ AM. They performed their first show on June 25, 2008 at the Roxy and released a mixtape online in August 2008 titled '' Fix Your Face''. In June 2009, they released a second mixtape titled ''Fix Your Face Vol. 2 (Coachella' 09)''. Hours after performing for thousands of college students on September 19, 2008 in Columbia, South Carolina, Barker and DJ AM were critically injured in a Learjet crash that killed four people. Expensive Taste (styled as Expen$ive Taste) was an American hip hop super-group formed by Paul Wall, Skinhead Rob ( Transplants), and Travis Barker ( The Aquabats, Blink-182, Box Car Racer, +44 and Transplants). Expensive Taste released a 15-track mixtape for free from a newly registered website. Travis Barker said on his Twitter blog that two new songs would be available soon on iTunes. +44 (read as Plus Forty-four) was an American rock supergroup formed in Los Angeles, California, in 2005. The group consisted of vocalist and bassist Mark Hoppus and drummer Travis Barker of Blink-182, lead guitarist Shane Gallagher of the Nervous Return, and rhythm guitarist Craig Fairbaugh of Mercy Killers. Hoppus and Barker created +44 shortly after the initial 2005 breakup of Blink-182 and before it was later reformed. The band's name refers to the international dialing code of the United Kingdom, the country where the duo first discussed the project. Early recordings were largely electronic in nature, and featured vocals by Carol Heller, formerly of the all-girl punk quartet Get the Girl. Box Car Racer
Box Car Racer was an American punk band formed in San Diego, California, in 2001. The band was a side-project of Blink-182 members Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker, with David Kennedy of Hazen Street completing the band's studio lineup. A bassist and friend of Barker, Anthony Celestino later joined the band as a bassist. DeLonge created the project to pursue darker ideas he felt unsuited to his work with Blink-182. The group recorded the band's eponymous debut, '' Box Car Racer'', in quick fashion with a more DIY spirit. MCA Records issued the band's lone release in May 2002, which peaked on the ''Billboard'' 200 at number 12. The Aquabats
The Aquabats are an American Rock music, rock band formed in Huntington Beach, California, in 1994. Throughout many fluctuations in the group's line-up, singer Christian Jacobs, the MC Bat Commander and bassist Chad Larson, Crash McLarson have remained the band's two constant fixtures. Transplants (band)
The Transplants are an American punk rock and rap rock supergroup. They formed in 1999 when Tim Armstrong (of the bands Rancid and Operation Ivy) played his friend and roadie Rob Aston some beats he had made using Pro Tools and asked Aston if he would consider contributing lyrics. Initially, Armstrong played all the instruments himself, but as the project grew, he invited musician friends such as Matt Freeman (Operation Ivy, Rancid), Lars Frederiksen (Rancid), and Vic Ruggiero ( The Slackers) to add to the sound. Before long, Armstrong and Aston decided to officially form a band, but to make things complete, they wanted a drummer, so Travis Barker from Blink-182 was asked to join in 2002.
