Trapt (album)
''Trapt'' is the major label debut and second studio album by American rock band Trapt, released on November 5, 2002 under Warner Bros. Records. With three hit singles, the album ascended to number 42 on the ''Billboard'' 200 chart, and went on to spend more than 80 weeks inside the ''Billboard'' 200. It was certified gold by the RIAA on May 15, 2003, then platinum on November 24 of that same year, making it Trapt's most successful album to date. Album art In an interview with VH1, Chris Taylor Brown stated the picture of a man mowing a lawn was selected to show his view of suburban life, to which he called home. Critical reception AllMusic critic Brian O'Neill regarded the album as "as enthusiastic as it is plagiaristic," while noting "the organic feel to the disc that separates it from their more angst-ridden peers." The UK Rock & Metal Singles Chart and UK Rock & Metal Albums Chart are record charts compiled in the United Kingdom by the Official Charts Company (OCC) to determine the 40 most popular singles and albums in the rock and heavy metal genres. The two charts are compiled by the OCC from digital downloads, physical record sales and audio streams in UK retail outlets. The charts have been published on the official OCC website since 1994. Larry Sultan
Larry Sultan (July 13, 1946 – December 13, 2009) was an American photographer from the San Fernando Valley in California. He taught at the San Francisco Art Institute from 1978 to 1988 and at the California College of the Arts in San Francisco 1989 to 2009. Sultan's books include ''Evidence'' (1977) with Mike Mandel, ''Pictures From Home'' (1992) and ''The Valley'' (2004). George Marino (April 15, 1947June 4, 2012) was an American mastering engineer known for working on albums by rock bands starting in the late 1960s. Biography Marino was born on April 15, 1947, in the New York City borough The Bronx. He attended Christopher Columbus High School (Bronx), Christopher Columbus High School there and learned to play the saxophone and bass fiddle in the high school band and was classically trained on guitar. Marino broke into the music business as a guitarist playing rock and roll in local New York City bands such as The Chancellors and The New Sounds Ltd. until most of the band members were drafted into the service for the war in Vietnam. Ted Jensen (born September 19, 1954) is an American mastering engineer, known for having mastered many recordings, including the Eagles' '' Hotel California'', Green Day's '' American Idiot'' and Norah Jones' ''Come Away with Me''. Andy Wallace (born 1947) is an American record producer and audio and mixing engineer. Over the years, he focused exclusively on mixing. Career Wallace was born in New Jersey. In 1974, he began his career as a chief engineer in his own studio in Los Angeles. After a few years of moderate success, he returned to New York City during the emergence of hip-hop in the early 1980s.
