Trapt (album)
''Trapt'' is the major label debut and second studio album by American rock band Trapt, released on November 5, 2002 under Warner Bros. Records. With three hit singles, the album ascended to number 42 on the ''Billboard'' 200 chart, and went on to spend more than 80 weeks inside the ''Billboard'' 200. It was certified gold by the RIAA on May 15, 2003, then platinum on November 24 of that same year, making it Trapt's most successful album to date. Album art In an interview with VH1, Chris Taylor Brown stated the picture of a man mowing a lawn was selected to show his view of suburban life, to which he called home. Critical reception AllMusic critic Brian O'Neill regarded the album as "as enthusiastic as it is plagiaristic," while noting "the organic feel to the disc that separates it from their more angst-ridden peers." O'Neill further wrote that the record "isn't original, per se, as much as it does a good job melding its pronounced influences more seamlessly than mos ...

Stand Up (Trapt Song)
''Someone in Control'' is the third studio album by American rock band Trapt, released on September 13, 2005 by Warner Bros. Records. Background and release The first single, "Stand Up", was released on July 12, 2005, and topped out at No. 17 on the Modern Rock Tracks chart and No. 3 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. The album was released on two months later on September 13, debuting at number 14 on the ''Billboard'' 200 chart, with approximatively 61,400 copies sold in its first week. By the end of 2005, the album sold 500,000 copies. "Waiting" and "Disconnected (Out of Touch)" were released as singles in 2006. Despite the anticipation before the release, the album failed to catch the success of their debut album, possibly due to the lack of a hit single. Following the disappointing sales of the album, Warner Bros. Records silently dropped the band. Critical reception AllMusic's Johnny Loftus saw promise in the band's sophomore record elevating their 21st century SoCal p ...

It crossed over to mainstream pop radio, peaking at No. 4 on the ''Billboard'' Mainstream Top 40. Only Through The Pain
''Only Through the Pain'' is the fourth studio album by American rock band Trapt. It was released on August 5, 2008 through Allen Kovac and Nikki Sixx's label, Eleven Seven Music. It is their first album to feature guitarist Robb Torres, who replaced original guitarist Simon Ormandy in early 2008 (although both individuals were credited in the album's liner notes). The album's first single, "Who's Going Home With You Tonight?" was released ahead of time as downloadable content for the video game series ''Rock Band'' in 2008, and was also performed in concert in an episode of '' Cheaters''. "Contagious", "Black Rose", and "Only One In Color" were also released as singles. Background and production By the time work on the album began, the band's relationship with their label, Warner Bros. Records, was already strained, in part due to their 2005 sophomore album, '' Someone in Control'', not meeting the label's expectations. The label quietly dropped the band from their roster and ...

Shadow Work (Trapt Album)
''Shadow Work'' is the eighth studio album by American rock band Trapt, released on July 3, 2020. The album was a critical and commercial failure at release. Critical and commercial reception AllMusic's Neil Z. Yeung rated this album 2.5 out of 5 stars, writing that the album offers "some polished anthems to balance with their typical crunchy assault" and particularly praises the band's cover of "Who Will Save Your Soul". ''Shadow Work'' sold 600 copies in its first week, an 87% decrease from 2016's ''DNA'' and significantly below the 5,400 anticipated sales. This was the first time the band did not make it to the US Billboard 200 since ''Amalgamation''. Vocalist Chris Taylor Brown disputed these figures, claiming sales among the several thousand. Brown's subsequent social media use got the band's accounts suspended and led to drummer Michael Smith leaving Trapt. The band's subsequent tours were poorly attended. Track listing #"Make It Out Alive" – 3:31 #"I Want to Want ...

Best Buy offered a limited edition, which included the two bonus tracks "Panic Room" and "Chasing Highs", as well as the front cover of the insert sleeve being autographed by the band. It was released on October 12, 2010, with Eleven Seven Music and debuted on the US ''Billboard'' 200 at number 25, selling around 15,000 copies. The first single is "Sound Off". A deluxe edition of the album was released with a bonus DVD exclusively at Best Buy. It is their last album to feature long-time drummer Aaron "Monty" Montgomery. Critical reception A writer for Alternative Addiction noted how a majority of the album leans more towards rock than the pop aesthetics of the band's self-titled debut, commending Robb Torres' guitar work for being an admirable replacement for Simon Ormandy and Chris Taylor Brown for his catchy lyrical hooks. Gregory Heaney of AllMusic said that the record contains "a heavier, harder-edged sound" while still retaining the radio appeal of the band's previous works, concluding that "With this tighter, more aggressive approach, Trapt fans should be pleased to hear that the ba ...

The End Records
The End Records is a record label in Manhattan that specialized in rock, heavy metal, indie, and electronic music. History Early years (1998–2005) The End Records was founded by Andreas Katsambas in Pasadena, California, with the goal of helping small underground artists. Within three years it became a full-time job and Katsambas moved the office to Salt Lake City in 2002. Too underground to get a national distribution deal, he started his own webstore, which helped cover basic expenses and slowly started bringing in other titles. The next three years were critical in expanding the label which began signing bands such as The Gathering, Crisis, Arcturus, Ulver and more. National distribution, moving to Brooklyn (2005–2006) In 2005 after meeting with many major distribution companies, The End signed a national distribution deal with RED Music and moved to Brooklyn, NY, the following year. The move to New York enabled the label to expand and diversify their building ro ...
