Transistor (TNT Album)
''Transistor'' is the seventh studio album by the Norwegian rock band TNT. While it kept the alternative feel of ''Firefly'', it was more successful, with the song "Just Like God" receiving some airplay at US College radio stations. Reception The album was met with mixed reviews amongst fans and reviewers alike. It was given max score in Oppland Arbeiderblad while bigger tabloid newspapers in Norway give it a 4 out of 6. Amongst fans, some didn't like the new experimental side of TNT, while the others enjoyed it. In retrospect, it's now considered a crucial moment in the band's history, showcasing the band's experimentation with different styles. Morty Black stated in an interview that ''Transistor'' was a natural progression from ''Firefly''. Tony Harnell's solid vocal effort on the album is widely considered to be one of the strongest vocal performances he did for TNT. TNT is a Norwegian hard rock band from Trondheim, formed in 1982. The band has released fourteen studio albums, three EPs and four live albums while going through numerous lineup changes since its formation. Guitarist Ronni Le Tekrø is the only consistent member of the band. TNT has sold between 4–5 million albums worldwide as of 2016. Dag Stokke
Dag Stokke (1 April 1967 – 27 April 2011) was a Norwegian keyboardist, church organist and mastering engineer best known for his work with the Norwegian rock bands TNT and Vagabond. He owned an online mastering service called OnlineMastering. Career Stokke was TNT's live keyboardist from April 1987 to 2011 and played on every TNT album from '' Realized Fantasies'' (1992) to ''A Farewell to Arms'' (2010). Ronni Le Tekrø
Ronni Le Tekrø (born Rolf Ågrim Tekrø, 5 October 1963) is a Norwegian musician best known as the guitarist and one of the founders of hard rock band TNT, as a solo artist and for his work with Vagabond and Terje Rypdal. He has been described as "one of the foremost purveyors of melodic metal", with ''Guitar World'' ranking him as one of the ten best guitarists in the world in 1989 and one of 25 influential cult guitarists in 2009. He is known for his wide vocal range, with his modal voice spanning over four octaves. Harnell has also been the frontman of Starbreaker and Skid Row. ''Firefly'' is the sixth studio album by the Norwegian rock band TNT (Norwegian band), TNT, released in 1997. The album was a comeback for TNT, who split up in 1992 after the release of ''Realized Fantasies''. It also marked a significant change in TNT's sound; the music is heavier and more modern, reflecting the changes in the music industry in the first half of the 1990s. It is also Tony Harnell's favorite album. When singer Tony Mills (singer), Tony Mills joined in 2007, he was told by Le Tekrø to not even bother listening to it as they wouldn't play anything from the album live. The album was not as successful as some of TNT's previous albums, but still achieved some success in Norway and Japan. The band toured those countries in support of the album.
