TNT (Norwegian Band) Members
Trinitrotoluene (), more commonly known as TNT (and more specifically 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene, and by its preferred IUPAC name 2-methyl-1,3,5-trinitrobenzene), is a chemical compound with the formula C6H2(NO2)3CH3. TNT is occasionally used as a reagent in chemical synthesis, but it is best known as an explosive material with convenient handling properties. The explosive yield of TNT is considered to be the standard comparative convention of bombs and asteroid impacts. In chemistry, TNT is used to generate charge transfer salts. History TNT was first synthesized in 1863 by German chemist Julius Wilbrand and was originally used as a yellow dye. Its potential as an explosive was not recognized for three decades, mainly because it was so much less sensitive than other explosives known at the time. Its explosive properties were discovered in 1891 by another German chemist, Carl Häussermann. TNT can be safely poured when liquid into shell cases, and is so insensitive that in 19 ...

''Transistor'' is the seventh studio album by the Norwegian rock band TNT. While it kept the alternative feel of ''Firefly'', it was more successful, with the song "Just Like God" receiving some airplay at US College radio stations. Reception The album was met with mixed reviews amongst fans and reviewers alike. It was given max score in Oppland Arbeiderblad while bigger tabloid newspapers in Norway give it a 4 out of 6. Amongst fans, some didn't like the new experimental side of TNT, while the others enjoyed it. In retrospect, it's now considered a crucial moment in the band's history, showcasing the band's experimentation with different styles. Morty Black stated in an interview that ''Transistor'' was a natural progression from ''Firefly''. Tony Harnell's solid vocal effort on the album is widely considered to be one of the strongest vocal performances he did for TNT. ''Firefly'' is the sixth studio album by the Norwegian rock band TNT (Norwegian band), TNT, released in 1997. The album was a comeback for TNT, who split up in 1992 after the release of ''Realized Fantasies''. It also marked a significant change in TNT's sound; the music is heavier and more modern, reflecting the changes in the music industry in the first half of the 1990s. It is also Tony Harnell's favorite album. When singer Tony Mills (singer), Tony Mills joined in 2007, he was told by Le Tekrø to not even bother listening to it as they wouldn't play anything from the album live. The album was not as successful as some of TNT's previous albums, but still achieved some success in Norway and Japan. The band toured those countries in support of the album. Track listing The song "Soldier of the Light" was never meant for the album. It was a demo from the ''Realized Fantasies'' sessions but was put on ''Firefly'' because the Japanese record company liked it so much. They ope ...
