Transilien Line V
Transilien Line V is a railway line serving the southwestern part of ÃŽle-de-France. It connects and . It belongs to the Transilien network operated by SNCF, the French national railway. Unlike the other Transilien lines (with the exception of Line U), Line V lies completely outside the city limits of Paris. Before December 2023, the line was operated as a branch of RER C. On 4 December 2023, the line was separated from the RER C and became a shuttle line, in preparation for the opening of the T12 Express tramway line on 10 December 2023. ÃŽle-de-France Tramway Line 12 Express
Île-de-France tramway Line T12 Express (known as the ''Tram-Train Évry-Massy'' and ''Tram Express Sud'' during the planning phase) is a suburban tram-train line in Paris, France. Designed by Île-de-France Mobilités and operated by Transkeo T12-T13 (a joint venture 51% owned by Keolis and 49% owned by SNCF Voyageurs), the line is long and is projected to carry approximately 40,000 passengers per day. On 22 January 2014, the STIF published a plan presenting the commissioning of the line in 2020. Initially planned to open in 2020, the opening date of the line was postponed to 2022, and in May 2021, the opening date of T12 was delayed again to December 2023. Île-de-France Mobilités (IDFM) is the governmental authority ( EPA) that controls and coordinates the different companies operating the Paris-area public transport network and the rest of the Île-de-France region. In this capacity, it issues operating contracts for the various services, owns the buses and rolling stock used on those services, and acts as the main financing body for transport projects in the region. A tram-train or dual-system tram is a type of light rail vehicle that both meets the standards of a light rail system, and also national mainline standards. Tramcars are adapted to be capable of running on streets like an urban tramway but also be permitted operation alongside mainline trains. This allows services that can utilise both existing urban light rail systems and mainline railway networks and stations. It combines the urban accessibility of a tram or light rail with a mainline train's greater speed in the suburbs. Réseau Express Régional
The (; ), commonly abbreviated RER (), is a hybrid commuter rail and rapid transit system serving Paris and its suburbs. It acts as a combined city-center underground rail system and suburbs-to-city-center commuter rail, similar to the Elizabeth line in London, S-Bahn in German-speaking countries and the S Lines in Milan. Versailles Chantiers station () is the principal railway station serving the city of Versailles, a wealthy suburb located west of Paris, France. The station is located at the junction of the Paris–Brest railway and the Grande Ceinture line. The "Chantiers" in the station name comes from its location on the Rue des Chantiers. The station is operated by SNCF, the French national railway. Juvisy is a railway station in Juvisy-sur-Orge, Essonne, Île-de-France, France. The station was opened in 1840 and is on the Paris–Bordeaux railway, Villeneuve-Saint-Georges-Montargis railway and Grande Ceinture line, a freight railway around Paris. RER C
RER C is one of the five lines in the Réseau Express Régional (English: Regional Express Network), a hybrid commuter rail and rapid transit system serving Paris and its suburbs. The line crosses the region from north to south. Briefly, between September 1979 and May 1980, the line was known as the ''Transversal Rive Gauche''. The line is operated by SNCF. The line runs from the northern termini Pontoise (C1), Versailles-Château-Rive-Gauche (C5) and Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (C7) to the southern termini Massy-Palaiseau (C2), Dourdan-la-Forêt (C4) and Saint-Martin d'Étampes (C6). Transilien () is the brand name given to the commuter rail and tram-train network operated by SNCF and serving Île-de-France, the region surrounding and including the city of Paris.
