Tralee GAA
Tralee District is a Gaelic Athletic Association Divisional Team from Tralee in County Kerry, Ireland. They won Kerry Senior Football Championship three times in a row in 1925, 1926, and 1927. They also won the Kerry Senior Hurling Championship in 1927. The district now only competes at under 14 and under 16 level. The side can select players who represent Austin Stacks, Kerins O'Rahillys and John Mitchels, the other Tralee clubs represent St. Brendan's divisional team. The Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA; ; CLG) is an Irish international amateur sports, amateur sporting and cultural organisation, focused primarily on promoting indigenous Gaelic games and pastimes, which include the traditional Irish sports of hurling, camogie, Gaelic football, Gaelic handball, and GAA rounders. Austin Stacks is a hurling and Gaelic football club based in Tralee in County Kerry, Ireland. Founded in 1917, the club has more All-Ireland Senior Football Championship medals and GAA All-Stars than any other Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club in Ireland. Kerins O'Rahilly's' Gaelic Athletic Association club from Tralee, County Kerry, Ireland. They are based in the Strand Road area of the town. They are in Division 1 of the county league which they won in 2006, and compete in the Intermediate Championship. John Mitchels GAA (Kerry)
John Mitchels GAA are a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Tralee, County Kerry, Ireland. They are based in the Camp area just outside of Tralee. Club history Before 1927 only one team represented Tralee in the Kerry Senior Football County Championship and they were Tralee John Mitchels. As this team was so successful the Kerry County Board requested that it should be divided into three individual teams representing, Boherbee, Rock St. and Strand St, this is where the John Mitchels, Austin Stacks and Kerins O'Rahilly's clubs came from. The John Mitchels club since 1927 are thought to be one of the most successful clubs in Kerry. St Brendan's Board GAA is one of several divisions in the Kerry GAA system. It is based in the north of the county and fields teams from under-15 right up senior level.
