Trailer War is a 2012 compilation film featuring rare vintage 35mm film trailers created by Drafthouse Films in partnership with director Joe Dante (who started out cutting trailers for B-movie producer Roger Corman) and American Genre Film Archive. Summary A meticulous two-hour collection of theatrical coming attraction trailers, including ones from the exploitation cinemas of the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, curated by Drafthouse programmers Lars Nilsen and Zack Carlson (the latter responsible for saving the 1987 cult classic '' Miami Connection'' from obscurity) under the guidance of Dante. The Mad Adventures Of Rabbi Jacob
''The Mad Adventures of Rabbi Jacob'' (, ) is a 1973 French-Italian comedy film directed by Gérard Oury, starring Louis de Funès and Claude Giraud. It follows a bigoted businessman and a kidnapped revolutionist who disguise themselves as rabbis to escape from assassins. A compilation film, or compilation movie is a film composed of scenes and shots taken from two or more prior films or television programs and edited together so as to make a new film, whether on the same or a different subject. The most common example would be a documentary film on an historical event composed of footage from various newsreels and other film documentaries on the same subject. New footage and/or a new soundtrack may also be included in a compilation film, but the compiled, older footage makes up the majority of its principal material. Compilation film does not include, however, a simple editing together of several short films, complete in themselves and distinguished as such from each others, which should be considered as film anthologies. ''Partners'' is a 1982 American gay-themed buddy comedy film directed by James Burrows and starring Ryan O'Neal and John Hurt as a mismatched pair of cops. Plot After a series of murders in Los Angeles's gay community, heterosexual police officer Sgt. Benson (Ryan O'Neal) is assigned to go undercover as half of a gay couple with Officer Kerwin (John Hurt), a Records Clerk. Kerwin naively believes that he is closeted, although the entire department knows about his sexual identity. The pair discover an earlier murder and learn that both victims appeared in the same gay magazine. ''Mystery Science Theater 3000'' (abbreviated as ''MST3K'') is an American science fiction comedy television series created by Joel Hodgson. The show premiered on WUCW, KTMA-TV (now WUCW) in Saint Paul, Minnesota, on November 24, 1988.
