Trail Life USA
Trail Life USA (TLUSA or commonly Trail Life) is a faith-based Scout-like organization providing youth mentorship and character development to boys in the United States. The organization was founded in 2013 in reaction against the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) changing its membership policy to allow gay youth, adults, and scoutmasters in boy scout Troops. As of early 2024, Trail Life has grown to over 60,000 members. All charters of Trail Life USA must pledge to follow its "Statement of Faith"; the organization is Trinitarian Christian. Youths of all or no religious beliefs are allowed to join, but individual Charter Organizations may limit Troop membership to boys of a certain faith or membership in a certain organization. Belton is a city in eastern Anderson County, South Carolina. The population was 4,134 at the 2010 census. History In 1845 a group was created to connect the Piedmont (United States), Piedmont region of South Carolina by rail to the existing rail system which then ran from Columbia, South Carolina, Columbia to Charleston, South Carolina, Charleston. The expanded rail line ran through what was to become Belton, with a spur line which ran to the nearby town of Anderson, South Carolina, Anderson. The three-finger salute is used by members of Scout and guide organizations around the world when greeting other Scouts and in respect of a national flag at ceremonies. In most situations, the salute is made with the right hand, palm face out, the thumb holding down the little finger.
